Description
Earth has been Integrated. For eight billion humans, it’s the apocalypse. For her, it’s a chance at homecoming. Luna Castellan never felt like she belonged. Then the world ended and proved her right. Luna is drafted into the Tutorial meant to forge humanity’s defenders, a world of magic, monsters, and irreversible death. She expects to struggle. Instead, she finds herself at home. As Luna breathes in the Aether for the first time, more than her appearance changes. Her true nature is revealed—she is a High Elf, someone who shouldn't have existed on Earth... and yet she spent her life here. Turns out, her dad has some explaining to do. If she lives long enough to ask. Armed with the Huntress Class and determination to protect those who matter, she's going to make choices a shade of gray and learn to accept her true nature for it could be the edge she needs to survive. To thrive. And thrive she will, for she's the hunter, not the hunted. And never the prey.

- blindsamurai9Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story so far is good and consistent but not a lot of content yet but I'm enjoying it nonetheless. The only real complaint I have is about the release of new chapters from the looks of it the prologue and the first three chapters came out back to back in four days. But every chapter since then has been a week apart so I'd like more consistent updates 2-3 times a week other than that it's looking good for what little content there is.
- All-ThunderRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I skipped the prologue. The first fourteen chapters are well written and well told, with interesting characters.I eagerly await the next chapter.Issues facing humanity is the integration into the System.Issues facing the main character are surviving the Trial, saving a forest grove and her own mysterious origin. And what about the villain Victor. Will he kill her companions? Will they kill Victor? The author leaves us with wondering expectations.
- AnateruRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0As of Chapter 6, one of the stronger starts to a story I've seen on here. Grammar and spelling are strong, so a reader can focus on the story. A good job so far on characterization. The system seems fairly standard so far, although still early days. Definitely one that I will continue to read.
- GenerousMRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'm not the typically webnovel reader... I don't like most of the typical webnovel tropes like LitRPG, progression/integration in general, etc... but this so far has done it so good?? Like I thought I just wanted 'real' fantasy and was sick of 'gameifying' fantasy worlds in the classic way LitRPGs do, but this is just a version of it that's really working for me so far to the point where I'm reconsidering whether I have just have a prejudice against a good trope or something. The start is really strong and grabbed me and I'm excited to read more.Breakdown:Style is 5/5, better than most even rising stars stories on the website. The author certainly has the craft/trade of writing down and it shows. Thus same goes for grammar, no complaints in that regard either, this person clearly is a pro or at least at pro-level English language skills.Character: 5/5, I think we're in need of more cool female leads in stories that can appeal to both genders. I'm tried of the options just being a choice between plainly sexualized-for-the-male-gaze female leads, and boring typical self-insert male leads that you so often seem to be your only options in stories like this. This story's MC is IMO neither pandering nor neutered and striking a good balance of interesting female lead.Story: 4.5/5 Like I said, the story is also great, I mean I still think I'd prefer if less stories felt the need to always indulge in all the LitRPG trope, but like I said as someone who doesn't usually like these things I have been really pleasantly surprised so far and will be looking to continue so obviously its definitely achieving in this regard as well. 93 here A/A- grade work.
- HikinBearRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Found this on Rising Stars, and I’m really enjoying it.The story follows the typical “system arrives on earth and people get magic and classes” trope. How it happens is the difference. It seems less than 10% of humans are selected to be uplifted to System Classes, and the story focuses on one person, Luna, who it turns out was a High Elf after all. It’s early in the story as we’re just in the Tutorial stage and haven’t returned to earth yet. Likely new characters, like the MC, Luna’s father will be introduced. The writing is engaging with a relatable Main Character. The grammar is good with decent structure. The pacing is also good. The style is first person with occasional POV changes. The characters are good with side characters having their own voice and flaws. The MC, Luna is really leaning into the class ‘Huntress’; when she is in the zone she is hyper focused. The MC still comes off as a bit cold even when in downtime. This is normal for a character who is not human, but human-like and fits the story. I can see the MC as a High Elf being a huge positive while dealing with portals and ‘Awakened’ monsters and a huge negative when dealing with humans. Her befriending the panther, Darkpaw is perfect for her role as a High Elf, as is meeting the dryad, Astra and conversing with the other ‘Awakened’ animals.Overall, I like this story. Recommended.
- KatherineFtwRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a very good system apocolypse novel so far.
It does this by not being like others on Royal Road that tend to go super dark, edgy, and do a bad/unessessary deconstruction of the genre. By playing it pretty stright, it fills a pretty good neiche that I've been wanting filled for a while.
Here's to hoping the rest is just as good! - Sebas613Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's honestly been a fun read so far. I don't usually post reviews, but I want to offer a counter point to the very negative review that I find unfair.
Grammar is on point, the supposed "broken english" is only from a character that is clearly eastern European/Russian, so it's intended. You do not need to state "omg he's speaking with an accent" if you already give someone a Russian name and the associated broken english. Come on.
There's a variety of characters we've seen, who may not have been the most fleshed out YET (It's chapter 11 mate) but have all been acting reasonably based on their past experience. Bubbly cook is nervous, trained combat medic is calm under pressure.
Yes, the main character hasn't been shown struggling too much throughout their life so far, but I honestly prefer stories that actually get to the plot after a prologue or 1-2 chapters rather than needing 15 chapters to even get started. Some backstory can be given later.
I am looking forward to see how the story develops and shows its own take on the integration trope. The flow of the story so far has been very pleasent to read. So far, so good. - VoidStrike13Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Just found this today and caught up to ch 12. I'm rooting for everyone so far, except Viktor but that may change. This has loads of potential and I'm excited to have found it so early. I'm hoping we might get a chapter on how things are going back on Earth but who knows. I realized very quickly this isn't one of those stories where everything always goes well for those we're following and I'm glad for it, though sad we don't get to see more about those who fell. I'm currently wondering if Luna being an elf was the main reason why she was able to adapt as well as she has to the trials. The system seems intriguing and my biggest question at the moment about it is if skills are going to be locked to only available at certain levels, if they can be acquired for outside sources, or if maybe people can try to learn them through practice. I also can't wait to see how Luna's class develops and if her being an elf will change any possible upgrades to it. I've noticed some minor grammatical mistakes and will be leaving edit suggestions when i read through it again in the morning. Looking forward to getting a notification for a new chapter and maybe even a published book in the future.
- ReaderJ1Royal Road★★★★ 4.0I like the overall story and especially the tutorial because it's so different from the other system apocalypses I have read so far. Also this the first lesbian romance system apocalypse I have read sofar I hope it will come true someday.
But the upload schedule takes takes longer than I like so I will let this marinate and come back later when there is more chapters. - BrankoRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5I'm enjoying the beginnings of this story. Good pace and interesting twist with the gifting of gear and starting abilities. Seems quite the cast of characters are developing that I hope doesn't get to convoluted. Our main heroin is developing at a stay pace. Looking forward to the future! Some relational conflicts still seem oversimplified.
