Description

One day, seemingly out of nowhere, a translucent hologram popped up before every single human being on earth, asking one simple question:

[Q: 1 - Do you think life is flawless?]

The sudden appearance of holograms, a non-existing technology, before every single human being on earth caused a lot of chaos. Immideate chaos such as cars crashing from the shocking sight of a hologram before their eyes, and so much worse. That moment, that day, was the single most castrophic thing that had occured on Earth.

The days after that weren't much better either, until the government stepped up, giving a statement that the hologram was their creation.

People were sceptical, but the chaso slowly died down. However, the hologram was very much still there, asking a single question every single day, but even that became a normality eventually.

But that peace and familiarity only lasted until the hologram asked its last question.

[Q: 300 - If you suddenly changed from today onwards, knowing that it could either improve or worsen, would you?]

[Yes] ; [No]

Nobody would have thought that giving a simple yes to this question would do anything, much less bring actually changes to their lives, let alone Kaya who had his whole life planned out to be invariable.

Little did humanity know that it would actually bring forth changes, for better or for worse.

First Impressions: I loved the simple but effective premise of the holographic question and was curious about the plot twist. It was especially effective at showing a short but effective reflection of the character, great for people with short attention spans like me.
I feel like the character sounds a bit 'edgy' in my opinion, but not to the point it bothered me that much. Overall, a great first impression.
Cons: Now let's start with the cons so we can end with the pros. However, remember that these are just my personal opinions as a reader.
Maybe I missed something, but I couldn't help but cringe when I read lines like:
"Kaya had already amassed a group of around twenty people that were walking with him. Kaya being the center of it"
    Or
"[Q: 11.3 - How would you rank yourself as a human compared to other people?]
    *[Worst 1% of people]*; [1% - 15%] ; [15% - 33%] ; [Average 33% - 67%] ; [67% - 85%]; [85% - 99%] ; [Best 1% of people]"
I also felt like the plot twist came a bit too slowly, the plot really starting around Chapter 5 (but maybe not, I'm not sure). Canonically, I think it took 300 days, almost a year to get to this point, which is an extremely long time. I expected it to last like a month or so, but maybe it's better this way. But the timeline feels a bit loose.
The final and the smallest criticism I have is that the novel doesn't feel too descriptive, but maybe my perspective is tainted after reading so many great novels lol.
Pros: There are too many pros to elaborate on individually, so here is a list!
    - One of THE BEST introductions in a novel. Instantly caught my attention. Simple, yet effective.
    - Good writing. It's definitely well-written with a degree of professionalism.
    - I like the formatting such as the questions and the chapter lengths. It feels consistent and also breaks up the story nicely.
    - I couldn't find many grammar mistakes, so you're doing great in that regard as well!
Conclusion: Overall, a solid piece with an interesting premise and a

First of all, I would like to say that it is a fantastic read. I was hooked on the first few chapters of reading it and found myself reading it a lot more than I expected. I also found the fact that the author tackles the matter of sexuality with immense grace, and is very openminded. Kaya, the main character truly feels and acts like a real person because of that. Great job at tackling such a sensitive topic with such grace!
    Style:
I don't have much to complain about the style. The author's style and way of writing really gravitated and immersed me in the story quite a bit.
    Grammar:
Apart from a bit of clunky dialogue and descriptions that don't quite match the overall feel of the book, the author's grammar is excellent. The word choice is enjoyable.
    Story:
I'll be honest. I don't like Sci-fi but the story somehow managed to pull me in real well. Though I will say that the story is paced poorly, I feel like he jumps from one scene to another. But apart from that the actual story is extremely exciting and it genuinely keeps me on my toes!
    Character:
My god do I like the main character, Kaya is the main character, and just from reading a few chapters, I can pinpoint his personality really well. He's a popular guy, no doubt about it, but he's also extremely introverted and is scared when talking to people. (Kaya also likes to read books) But this character, without a doubt is so amazing and the author does an excellent job at conveying his moods and personality.

The writing style employed is concise and engaging, effectively capturing my attention and maintaining my interest throughout. It allows for a seamless immersion into the narrative, enabling me to vividly imagine the unfolding events in my mind. Also, the use by the author of questions to delve deeper into the psyche of the character Kaya adds depth and complexity to the story which I find unique and interesting.
The story so far covers Kaya's struggles with maintaining appearances and suppressing emotions, which takes a toll on his mental well-being. The hologram questionnaire acts as a catalyst that challenges Kaya's views and planned life path. The introduction of some element of fantasy further enhances the story's appeal, allowing for imaginative and unexpected elements to unfold.
The grammar and prose are clear and well-structured. Descriptions are sparse but effective at setting the scene. Dialogue is used judiciously to reveal aspects of characters.
Kaya, as the main character introduced so far, is well-crafted and clever. He is a complex central character who maintains a facade of perfection while internally struggling. Supporting characters are briefly introduced to provide social context for Kaya.
In summary, the story uses its unique style and intricate main character to tell an intriguing tale of self-discovery amid mental anguish with some elements of fantasy.
