I Always Get That Feeling of Deja Vu [LitRPG Time Loop with a Twist]

Description
He only has 123 chances to get it right. In Solvane - where the rich look down from sunlit towers and the poor choke in soot below - Viktor, a gifted but overlooked inventor, just wanted to show off his latest creation at the grand Expo. Instead, he's caught in a violent uprising that plunges the entire world into chaos and Living Darkness. But Viktor doesn't die. Trapped in a time loop with no memory of his past lives - only flashes of Déjà vu and a mysterious System - he must piece together what went wrong, uncover the truth behind the attack and its instigators, and stop the Dark entity that's set to devour his world. But with only 123 chances - and a second looper purposefully sabotaging him - can he truly break the cycle and save the world? Cover is an original art piece made by Federico Cimini. [Note:This story is a spinoff-sequel to my previous work,Do You Ever Get That Feeling of Déjà Vu?While it’s written to stand on its own and welcome new readers without confusion, those who've read the original will find deeper connections, returning characters, and enhanced emotional weight throughout. That said, starting here is perfectly fine - but if you want the full experience, I do recommend reading that one first.] What to expect: - 2 new chapters a week - Story is a Mystery first, LitRPG second (numbers are present, but secondary and are not the main deal) - A steampunk world powered by magitek. - A character-driven story that builds up slowly. - A cat-and-mouse game (at times) between two intelligent individuals. - A time loop story where (almost) every loop is unique. - A weak/average (but smart) to strong to OP character progression. - Fights that are more magical in nature and are less hand-to-hand or weapon-to-weapon combat.

- Dr. DanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I was waiting for the story to reach its first serious twist moment to see if the magic of Deja Vu is still there. And let me tell you all, it is!
Style 5/5 - similar to the previous installment, the story is told from the MC first person POV with the occasional switch to third person to a different character in order to understand more about what’s going on. In short, It works really well and is really enjoyable.
Grammar 5/5 - no serious issues that I had noticed. Definitely not something that could hurt the experience.
Character 5/5 - Viktor is a great MC so far. Smart and calculating. His physical weaknesses come across and contrast his smarts well, promising an interesting journey seeing him progress and level up. He has a lot of courage and no matter how weak he is, he doesn’t let people boss him around.
Story 5/5 - the peak of both Deja vu stories in my opinion. This time around it seems that the mystery genre will be the leading among the others. The seeds had been planted for a great mystery to unfold and I can’t wait to read and see how it all turns out!
Bottom line - read it! - Hida DragonbaneRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So far I'm enjoying the new take on magic! We aren't far enough in to really comment on the new story's take on the Deja Vu system, but I can definitely say that I continue enjoying the author's writing style. I wasn't sure if a new story under deja vu would hold my attention but so far I'm enjoying the ride and looking forward to the twists.
- bookwyrm03Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0really good story, better than the original it is based off. The plot very loaded, and i liked the new change dolos has gone through... wonderful writing as always, i dont have any complains. The protagonist also feels alive and like their own person, instead of a self insert or a badass like in many other novels. Smart but not all knowing, he makes mistakes ike all of us. Also i liked the explanation on the key mechanic setting aside the deja vu system from other time loop novels, it makes this novel so much more interesting
