READ THE WARNING

Amadeus Devereux was born into a rich and powerful household. But he did not pursue power like his brothers because of his love for art, flowers, and poetry.

Until one day, a servant arrived in the garden to see Amadeus smiling as if he was looking at a flower. Only this time, Amadeus was looking at the mangled corpses of two gardeners.

Set in a fantasy world where magic exists, follow Amadeus as he embarks on a journey of self-discovery. Will he be able to feel emotions as others do?

This is a novel that I wrote because I got tired of all the tropes that had transmigration, regression, deus-ex machina, etc. where everything that makes the main character reach the top is left to luck.

This story is definitely quality. There is no doubt about that. The first chapter is intense and not for the squeamish. This is definitely not an anti-hero story but a dive into a serial killer's mind and it is horrifying and riveting. So if you enjoy Hannibal and stories of that type but with a fantasy bent this is definitely for you.
Style: Flawless. At first I was unsure if the style would work. It switches from first-person for the MC and third person for everyone else, but to my surprise this worked incredibly well. It pulls us deep into Amadeus mind while allowing the reader to also experience things from other POVs.
Story: Right now the story focuses on how Amadeus found his calling and his activities. It moves smoothly and the story is a fascinating glimpse into the world of Amadeus and the Devereux family.
Grammar: Clean. Not an error in sight.
Character: Amadeus's character is perfection. What he does is horrific but what I espeiclaly like is that the story doesn't make him evil for evil sake. Amadeus is merely doing what he enjoys and producing art. It makes the character seem more realistic while making his murders even more terrifying. Not only is Amadeus's character fascinating but the other characters that are introduced are unsettling and the ones not twisted seem realistic flawed people that makes the situations that happen to them more terrible.
I highly recommend this story for people who want to dive into the interworkings of a serial killer.
