  For a piece of flash fiction this does a fair amount given how short it is. This could be predictive or perhaps even a reality given the way things are heading. The concept here of New Years is perhaps one that machines might understand if they were at least capable of thought, but otherwise yes - we humans are a bit strange aren't we? This was fun. Definitely recommend reading if you got a few minutes.
