    So, it's a pretty basic story, though the execution is decent.  Princess and street rat are friends.  The queen is assassinated.  Shenanigans ensue, a mix of teenage angst and (political?) intrigue.  It's well-writen; I could follow things very well and visualize it well enough.
    The BIG problem is that it's a 62k novel shoved into a single chapter! I'll admit, I only got through about a fifth just because I couldn't stand that anymore.
    Small nit:  Why does one of the protagonists have a homonym for 'hero' as his name? It's a little on the nose.  Maybe there's a joke in there farther into the book, but it was distracting.
