When he gets reborn as a dungeon, that can only advance by making money, things get rather... meanspirited. Egbert will do whatever it takes to nickel and dime every single copper he can from adventurers he cons into his depths. Inbred fisherfolk, concerningly drunk knights, even overeager orcs. All are fair game for his fleecing. Except the mages, those pretentious dicks are getting fed to the mimics.

I've enjoyed the author's other fiction so decided to give this a try and am glad I did. This seems promising as an idea and execution also seems on point.The premise is sufficiently different to make the story feel fresh without falling into the dungeon v humans, which I've not found appealing or contrived when forced to cooperate.It's still early but the feel of the story is good and the development seems to be on a good track.Storywise I expect it to be on the lighthearted side with action and progression focused away from lethality. If you are looking for a serious action story, this may not be for you. However, this also doesn't feel exclusively like a comedy, the mix of elements in this and the author's other fiction is well balanced.Edit:I'm not sure what I expected. I certainly did not expect this. It is glorious!

Come for the Dungeon core stay for the loot bug not sure there's not a spin off of the loot bug as the mc in the future but I'm hooked because of the slight possibility of it, also genuinely laughed at it's shenanigans. Seriously its worth it for that alone

An absolut blast to read. Very funny and right to the point. After a short! introduction our mc gets immediately to it and starts his dungeon business without some of the usual existential dread in this kind of stories. Humor is amazing, well timed and the pacing is also great. Stuff happens regularily which keeps the story going and interesting.
The only downside this story has it is chapter count is still much to low.

So far, the Core has stayed in the dungeon, the focus has been on various tricks and traps and fun ways to mess with adventurers. The side characters are masterful and only add to the story. Who knew loot bugs could be so spicy?The start with taxing the orphan and the gifting tax really set the tone.Looking forward to reading more.This dungeon is going to look like a most extreme elimination challenge course with a pay to win (not really) option in a few months at this rate.

I love this story so far. It always makes me laugh. Bully is always fun to see. Remorse getting upgraded from buyers remorse was sweet. The knights team really is boys will be boys. Puppy is unsettling. Contempt my beloved. The customized orphan hamster house for tax exemption. The variety of personalities keeps things interesting. Greed monetizing everything really made it different from a normal dungeon.

Well damn. I was going to quote the Team America ethics speech but it looks like it's not allowed.
This novel can be roughly summer up as "comedy and schadenfreude as numbers go up". Sure, Greed is kind of a jerk... But he's generally pretty decent, if driven..
But he does utterly horrifying things to adventurers that 100% deserve it.

So welcome to what happens if a dungeon core learned about capitalism and had greed as it main personality trait.
