Description

Grapple & Grindis a dark, R-rated LitRPG where survival means getting mean, getting clever, and using gravity as a weapon.Kevin wasn’t supposed to be here. One minute he was on a road trip. The next? Abducted by aliens and dumped into a dungeon death game with no explanation, no teammates, and no way out.

Where most contenders swing swords or sling spells, Kevin’s running pure brute force—leverage, momentum, and the fine art of smashing things until they stop moving. The dungeon noticed. So did the AI running it, and it’swaytoo amused.

His allies? A washed-up emo bard. A goth warlock with anger issues. A combat system that rewards speed, aggression, and creative violence.

Survive, adapt, climb—or die trying. Because the dungeon doesn’t wait. It doesn’t care. And the deeper you go, the worse it gets.

No chosen-one cheats. No OP bull-spit. Just fists, grapples, and a really bad attitude.

✔ Momentum-based physics combat✔ Grappling and striking mechanics✔ Game-ified dungeon climb with real stakes✔ A foul-mouthed AI, a dungeon that hates you, and teammates you definitely didn’t ask for

I'm new to the litRPG genre and this is my third book so far that I have gotten into. What I am loving about this one is the unique fighting style of the main character! I've read plenty of books with flying fists and swords and good ole fashion means of war, but I've never read a book where the main character uses grappling.  It's been fun to learn more about that :)
Aside from that, I can tell the author is putting a lot of thought into his character development and so far, I am really loving the progression of the main character. I am anticipating learning more about his side characters! The pacing has been good and so far I have not come across any stagnant or boring chapters. I am left wanting more after each chapter! I feel like the author has struck a good balance between violence and gore. The action scenes are described in enough detail to be grisly and genuine, but not enough where violence for the sake of violence is glorified. With other litRPGs I have read, the authors get caught up in the gore of it and it can be off putting. Not so with this book!
The world building has been so fun! Each level is described in such detail that it nearly feels like an entire new world in itself but not too much where it feels like we are getting bogged down by details.
I think my favorite part by far thought is the quirky and comical achievements. These really have brought me so much joy reading them and I gotta give kudos to the author for creativity.
TLDR: great development, good characters, fast moving story with lots of action sequences, excited to read more, this would be a great book for anyone who loves the genre or for newbies like me!

I am really enjoying the progression of the story! I found Kevin to be relatable and very down to earth! It was easy for me to get into the story. The structure and pacing kept me on the edge of my seat. I am really enjoying all of the details the author is putting into the story, many of which I would have never thought of on my own. It keeps me on the edge of my seat, wondering what will happen next! I am excited for the author to add some more characters to the story to keep it moving, but so far, I am loving it!
