Goblin Garage:  Riff of the Realms

When intergalactic tour buses break down mid-journey through space-time, there’s only one shop they call: Goblin Garage. Blitzo, a grumpy goblin dad just trying to make ends meet, runs the rust-bucket garage with his wild crew—Whiz Pop the cosmic dreamer, Baggz the cable-chomping grease goblin, and a band of misfits with more heart than hygiene.

But when a legendary rock band's bus rolls in carrying an ancient artifact linked to a forgotten cosmic realm, the crew finds themselves part of something much bigger. A hologram from beyond time declares that the universe’s rhythm is out of sync—and only a goblin soul can retune the beat.

Whiz Pop volunteers to “sync” himself with the Riff Realm, a dimension of sound, soul, and sacrifice—not death, but transformation. What he finds there will test his spirit, his groove, and whether goblins were ever just side characters in the story of the cosmos.

Space is vast. Music is power. And Goblins? Goblins get the job done.

Having just read the Goblin Garage, I stumbled over to Riff of the Realms. The writing here has the goblins encounter a space bus and the band decides to play music, then it ends. It has all the same issues as the original in its dialogue, descriptions and writing, but the joke at the end lands. The capitalization and issues with the names still exist, but it really doesn't make much more of an issue than the typos and everything else. While rough, it still feels cartoonish in a way. In a copyedit the telling aspect could be fixed to make it stronger.
