Description
The Red desert. It was their home now. There was not many of them left. There would be even less in a month from now.
Especially if they did not manage to chase down the thief.
With lives hanging on a thread Noah and three others have no choice but to head out in the desert.
Based on a dream I had.

- Joshua BRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I'm a fan of this particular short story. It has a really nice setup and gets right to the action. It doesn't a good job of building tension and resolving it in a way that was not what I expected. For only being 17 pages the characters come alive with a complexity that I've seen other authors struggle within 200 pages or more to deliver.
I'm actually a fan of this particular author's style. They have a very engaging voice that flows from emotion to emotion in addition to action to action. Actually I feel like it's one of the more emotionally engaging authors that I've read. I'm a bit of a fan of C. J. Cherryh who's characters and stories can have a similar flow.
I have to admit the minimum 200 word review is kind of silly on a 17 page story, but I guess that's fine.
The grammar and proofreading could use some more work. That said I'm happy to do it. I have no problems reading it two or three more times to find issues and errors. It was that fast and good of a story that it deserves some attention to be more fully polished.
