-----

It was a time loop. The magic I had strived for centuries to create was the very thing that got me into this mess in the first place.

Broken, I turned my blame to the one thing that I could truly claim as responsible for my situation.

The OmniverseEngine itself.

I swore that I would take it down by any means necessary, but to do that I would need some unconventional, and unwitting, allies on my side. After all, not even demons want to destroy all of existence.

This is the final tale of my life in Placeholder. The tale of my last descent into my role as [Demon Lord] as I threatened all of the OmniverseEngine... And the tale of what I found after finally hitting the bottom.

This series was super fun to read. I binged it all in a week.
The story itself is very well put together. The plot throughout each book has cohesive elements while also moving along various supplementary character arcs, which are generally interesting. The cast of characters grows decently large throughout the series, and though I wouldn't be able to recall all of their names at this point, it's easy enough to tell them and their roles apart in the story. The plot hits a narrow balance of following a number of classic tropes while remaining gripping and novel in its own way. I'd say the characters do a lot of the heavy lifting in this regard. They are overall well-crafted and contribute in an interesting way to the story.
I was impressed by how the author pulls together stray elements at the conclusion of each arc. Everything feels purposeful and consciously planned. The story is like an onion...
The grammar is fine throughout. I noticed the pacing gets faster with each book, but it feels natural due to the nature of the narrator as time passes. In my opinion, each volume is an improvement over the previous, though I enjoyed the full series from start to finish. Definitely worth the read.

5 stars. I don't use this rating lightly by any means, but this book is one of the ones that thoroughly deserves it. This book is worth the read and will keep you hooked from title to the last full stop.
Not many books out there have made me feel so many emotions and made me so invested to so many characters all at once. This book will do that.
    Read it.

This story draws you in with an irresistible premise: a soul reborn into power, but not as a hero. From the very beginning, there's a sense of controlled chaos—of someone waking up in a new world with old memories, but a far different path ahead. The journey isn’t about saving the world or playing by the rules. It’s about bending the world to fit a vision shaped by loss, anger, and cold logic.
The setting is dark but compelling, filled with dangerous forces, fractured kingdoms, and the constant tension of power struggles. And at the center is a protagonist who doesn’t flinch from the role they’ve been given—one that most would fear or reject. Instead, they embrace it, not with blind hatred or cruelty, but with a calculating mind and unwavering purpose. It’s that focus, that relentless push forward, that keeps you locked in.
What makes this story so engaging is how it subverts expectations. You’re not watching someone try to reclaim their humanity or walk a redemptive path. You’re watching someone become something more—and perhaps something less—than human. It’s a slow, gripping transformation driven by necessity and shaped by a world that respects only strength.
Conflicts are more than battles—they’re challenges to will, to identity, to the very idea of morality. There’s strategy in every move, and a quiet intensity in every decision. It’s a story that trusts the reader to sit in the discomfort, to find intrigue in the shades of grey, and to follow a character who leads not through virtue, but through vision.
For anyone drawn to tales of power gained through grit and ruthlessness, this story doesn’t just hold attention—it commands it.

An amazing trilogy of human weakness.
Each book has an enlightening message of the spiritual journey all human traveld.
Book 1 with the innocence of ML trying to cling to humanity innate to his natural birth. Shows his fears, confusions, and disappointment.
Book 2 with the rage and desperation of the ML. How his pains lead him to anger and decision to numb his humanity, trying to embrace the character that situation of virtual life gave him. Being blinded and lost in an obsession that led to failure of his embraced character.
Book 3 is the volume that I love best. It showed how the ML in his lowest time was given hope and purpose for his redemption. Avoidance of death is not the answer. Neither was the desolate wish of giving up. As the Hero Joshua opened his eyes again to his true self, ML saw his weakness as his strength, his restarts as experiences to widen his skills and perks as a protagonist. All that leads him to conquer his greatest enemy.
The limitations, the mistakes, and battles for redemption creatively spun into a gamelit novel.
I love following each book filled with emotions and have my own emotions go in a cliffhanging rollercoaster ride.
The realization that one's true hero and true villain is no other than oneself. Other heroes are but guidance and mentors in life. And the choice to be saved is always in us.
Kudos in sending hope and faith .

I have to say thanks a lot for the story. It has been an awesome ride to say the least!!
The Heros and trouble of the MC are very memorable! In comparison with other stories, the feeling of the 1st book and the 1st party hits you right where it hurts..
I am saving the last few chappies for a quiet time when my worse half is not disturbing me!!
God its always a hard line between being sad about the end of an epic tale and the other side of the coin where the story is dragged out to death and it becomes boring.
In my opinion you did very well about the demon lord and I am looking forward to another tale of yours.

Peak fucking fiction, this is just the greatest story I`ve had the pleasure of reading.
Theres no real grammar mistakes, which is a +3.
The characters FEEL real, I can understand everything they`re saying as it makes sense, its hard to describe but the mix of comedy, action, perspective gives this a whole +8, not gonna budge on how perfect this story is.
I`ve never written a review that stuck before, but god do I love this story, its just so damn good.
The way the world works is brilliant, the characters brilliant, the story itself is one that I will always remember, this series is PERMANENTLY in my head now. +50
If I could go above 5 stars, this bad boy would be at 400 stars at LEAST.

Titus has gone through everything, love, madness, depression and being a cruel dictator. But you'll still find yourself rooting for him and feel so happy when it ends.
Amazing writing style, does not get boring and finale is simply awesome. Even when everything's predictable, it's still unpredictable in all the right ways. This writer has got skills.

The book is well planned, and it never drops off or gets worse. Every chapter is as good as or better than the last.
In addition to that, the book never forgets a thread or point, everything is important. No words are wasted.
There aren't really any grammar issues either, the style draws you in.

Big fan, everything makes atleast a bit of sense and the story is really good, the characters feel real and have their own agency, alongside great humor with great timing, it's very good :) (And if you disagree you're wrong, I'm always right always) . Only problem is whenever a new chapter comes out I have to go to a private place to read it because I keep manically grinning and making excited noises while reading

one of my favorite stories I have read on royal road ever. I would recommend this story to anyone who likes complex plans and detailed fights it’s actually so cool how special this story is. Please read it, I don’t think you’ll regret reading it ever. If I had to compare it to a food I’d say brisket because it’s just so good hahahah
