Disclaimer: This story is a rough draft for the sake of competition.
Grinding to the top of the demonic hierarchy isn't a simple task, but Abraxis likes a challenge. The life of a fledgling isn't all that glamorous though. Along with his betrothed, Lilith, Princess of Hell, Abraxis has to grind through a plethora of enemies in all of the Four Worlds.
Employed by Big Boss, an entity with strange attachments to the Divine, Abraxis won't be stopped in his upward ascent to glory. His Sins won't let him fail, won't let him admit defeat. The whole world must become his, recognize him as the greatest being in the universe! He will stop for nothing, do anything, and pave his path straight to the top—then surpass even that.
It all starts with his bloodline:[???, SSS].
Whether it's Lucifer, God, or the Demiurge, all of existence will inevitably become his.
As the bloodline might make you think, yes, it's true. The MC will become quite OP. If that's not for you, then neither is the story. He starts pretty mid though, so yeah.
Post schedule: Completed and yeet. You see them the moment they're done. Expect everything and nothing.
Disclaimer #2: I have a full-time job and family, so as the Post Schedule mentions, chapters come as they come. I'm looking forward to blowing off some creative steam with this though, so there's a high chance of chapters zooming. But also, job.

- Nameless32Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is doing well for a rough draft, following a megalomaniacal demon and his lustful and plotting betrothed as they scheme throughout a vast world with rules far different from our own. Power plays are central both in the overarching plot and in the character interactions, which fits thematically with the story which is at its core a fulfillment of power. Great start!
- sumdumbguyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Just what the heck is the polished story going to look like? So few chapters available and I'm already deeply invested in the characters, world, and lore. I can't wait to dive back in more. It's clear the author is enjoying writing this as it's an absolute treasure to read. The characters have depth, dreams, ambitions, fears, and places to be. I can't wait for the plot to kick in full swing.
- Some Better UsernameRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5As a beta reader for "Furthest From The Light: A Gamelit Loop Story," I am extremely impressed by the book so far. The characters are all intriguing and creative, each with their own unique personality and way of thinking. I find myself fully invested in their stories and motivations.
The story itself is great at keeping secrets and teasing answers, which makes me feel like I am learning and understanding the nuances of hell right alongside the main character. Furthermore, the writing is free of errors, allowing me to fully enjoy reading the book without being distracted by grammatical or spelling mistakes. I can tell that the writer, Omniscient Demiurge, is having a blast with this story, and it really shines through in the characters' liveliness.
One of the things that stands out to me about "Furthest From The Light" is the way the author balances the action and character development. Even in the midst of intense battles and life-or-death situations, the characters never feel one-dimensional or purely motivated by plot convenience. Instead, they all have distinct voices and desires that make their actions feel grounded and meaningful.
The book's lore and world-building is also constantly expanding and becoming more defined, which makes for an immersive and exciting experience. Overall, I highly recommend reading "Furthest From The Light," and I cannot wait to see where the story goes next.
