- 1Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5This story utilizes the Magnificent Bastard trope quite well; the would-be Conquerer of the world would give up his plans for conquest to slay a dragon that would decimate the surrounding land, what would be the point of ruling over ash and barren lands? His opponent also follows this trope somewhat, more magnificent than bastard as of yet, willing to save his opponent from falling to his death because it would have been dishonorable. This was quite well written overall.
- RznRoyal Road★★★ 2.5This short story is almost a parody of feudal era Japanese video game and dialogue scenes, and the piece is not marked as a comedy but I sure hope that was the intention. The dialogue feels like it is mocking Japanese culture. Setting that aside, this scene plays out and it doesn't really tell a story in a regular sense. It feels like a prologue.
