Jack Smith is in a helicopter crash that kills him. His brain is frozen. Fifty years later he awakens in a hotel room and is given an option to participate in an experimental procedure to have his brain transplanted into a new body. Jack agrees, but finds out it will be a few years before the experiment begins and is given the option to play a new virtual reality game on a private server until it is time for him to get a new body. However, when Jack enters the tutorial for the game, he quickly realizes it might not be just a game.

A bit about the story for those unreasonable types who don't want to spend hours reading something that might not be what you're looking for;

* Weird beginning. (Don't question the artist's sanity just because you can't understand the art.)

* Two chapters in you're going to decide it is a story with a sniper doing PvPvE in a virtual reality while his brain is in a jar. Nope. That would be very, very boring.

* Jack was told he was going to be playing in a game while waiting for his brain to be transplanted into a new body. A god tells him that's just a trick another god likes to play.

* There are werewolves and other humanoid creatures.

* We have the five strongest gods in the universe watching two strangely powerful weirdos that they aren't exactly sure what they are.

* The gods believe a calamity is coming and decide to use the two weirdos to build an academy and train people.

* We have an absurdly long tutorial for a planet being integrated into the system because the planet is actually a test planet one of the gods uses for his experiments and the system lets him do almost anything he wants with it.

* Tutorial finally ends and Jack has a team and they start training the natives of the planet with some help from gods who never warn them before hand about what they are doing. Not even a, "Hey, we're sending you a few million slaves to train."

* The calamity comes. To put it in basketball terms, the team spent a week focusing on preparing to stop the other team's three point shooting only to have the opposing team's center dunk on them the first five plays of the game.

* The story takes a dark turn.

* Plot twist.

* Strange ending.

* You declare it is the greatest story you ever read, too bad the author's writing is crap.
