Description
When the world ended, Wulf thought he’d finally have peace. That couldn’t be further from the truth. As a hardened demon-slaying warrior, he learned the intricacies of the system, but he had nothing to fight for. War and regret were the only things on his mind—right up to his death.
After making a deal with the System, he wakes up on the grounds of his old academy, forty-one years ago, now with the unique [Fate Alchemist] class.
In the chaos, he only sees a chance to find a perfect balance between a golem-wielding warrior and an alchemist, to travel the world and form true bonds with a party, and to grow stronger than he ever was. And that means he’ll have to put a halt to the demon invasions once and for all.
But the System has a unique way of throwing a wrench in all his plans, and he might not be the only one with memories of the future…

- monoboy13Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0So these are my own thoughts on this series, so if you don’t like my assessment, read another review. I did not know how much to expect from the blurb, but it rose above and beyond my expectations.
What are you in for? Picture a mixture of school life, adventure to save the world with some time travel mixed in between. And don’t forget the Mechs. The story is placed in a world invaded by these demons, the world is dying and the main character is offered the chance to time travel back. He gets a cool alchemist class and the rest would be spoilers :).
Now, story wise: 5/5. The whole premise of time travel litrpg has been done many ways on royal road, but I do feel like this story still makes it exciting. Furthermore, the characters development is not only stat screens but seems to be personal too.
Next, grammar 5/5- no major errors. I’m no English major and if there are some errors I must have just glanced over them so…..
Style: I’m no professional writer, just know that reading it felt smooth and did not break the experience so: 5/5.
Characters are funny as all get out. In many stories here on royal road you will get two characters that are really explored and the rest of the characters seem to be ways for the author to develop these characters or are as flat as a board. This series does not so: 5/5.
Now one thing I am a little iffed about which I haven’t seen explained is
His detrimental side effects of the potions which seem to show up in the beginning of the series kind of die out. I would love to understand why that is because I might have just missed it.
Other than that, well done 👏 - zizawahRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Really enjoyed the entire trilogy. MC is very likeable and his character is consistently hard working, genial, and inventive. Supporting characters were varied though could have used more drama with their background stories but the focus is on the end of the world so it made sense that got to the way side. Overall very nice series.
- DatateqRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I am really enjoying this story. The world building is fantastic and the mechanics really feel like a fresh take on the genre. The MC is compelling and his compatriots are interesting in their own right. My only major quibble is the one character who tries to undermine the city’s defenses. It is one thing to enjoy privilege but his actions are beyond treasonous so it is hard to fathom they wouldn’t have something to say. I am looking forward to book 2. Thank you for sharing your time and creativity.
- Transdimensional LabyrinthRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story hits a lot of marks for me;
MC who despite having decades of experience is using his second chance to explore new fields.
Lots of different fantasy races mixing.
"Mecha" crews and spell casters.
Crafting.
Underdogs competing with the wealthy elites.
Regressor protagonist who wants to not only save his world, but get more fulfilment out of his second chance at life. Which includes trying to be more sociable and planning to travel the world.
An enjoyable friend group.
While the story is still establishing, it's been solid and I like the author's voice. - pissgastriqueRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Theres a lot thats good in this, and nothing thats particularly offputting. Overall i recommend it. The characters dont move the needle much, but are all serviceable. The setting starts as a standard fantasy but has some interesting diversions from the norm as the author gets up to speed. They tend to exposition dump on occasion, but not in a way that takes me out of things. The protagonist tends to steamroll everyone, and the story lacks much of a challenge, but this is an OP regressor LITRPG, so I'm counting it as a feature and not a bug. I do wish there was a bit more kaiju action, but overall, this one is just good.
- tellaris3Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5Premise is a lot deeper than the blurb makes it sound. It's a magic academy with a crafter MC 100%, but there's more to it. This academy focuses on giant stone golems.
The alchemy also seems like it's going to be more than just potions, though he's been focusing on potions a lot at the start, I'm curious to see where it will go.
Characters: All likeable, make reasonable choices given their history. Appreciate the inclusion of another person who regressed at the same time as him. The goal isn't anything unique yet, but they're still handled well.
Grammer: a few small mistakes but nothing massive
Story: Just enough hooks to keep me looking forward to the next chapter. Lots of hints of where we're going and solid setups. My one hope would be for a little more slice of life elements. Otherwise, his crafting was enjoyable and so far the system has been easy to grasp. No stats, and light on the system, but it's still important.
Style: solid writing, well paced, and kept me engaged. Relatively low stakes so far (past the opening section) but that's fine by me.
A generally well written alchemist story with strong characters and a decent premise. Looking forward to more. - asdflkjhRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This author understands progression! I read the first couple of books on KU and then just finished this book here. I loved it! I literally binged on this book and skipped an entire night's sleep and read it non-stop over the weekend. It was engrossing. I am looking forward to checking out other books this author has written. The characters were consistent especially the protagonists. This author understands team dynamics and progression.
- CatgurlRoyal Road★★★ 3.0Not bad but not good - a decent attempt but needs work. Very cookie cutter and bland. May get better later, but I feel done. As others have mentioned, mc regressor has all this knowledge and skill - and apparently all wiped or disconnected or whatever - which removes all the good of being a regressor and makes the story even slower and more boring. Prose and grammer are good.
- DreamsRoyal Road★★★ 3.0I'm not entirely sure I'd recommend others to try this story. Just a few too many things that I thought were negatives.
I'll start with the positives: Giant fighting golems is pretty interesting and somewhat unique. Dialogue has been serviceable so far which is good for the genre/RR. Minor grammar errors but nothing egregious.
The more neutral stuff that I thought was bad that others may like: Super stereotypical regressor. He's going to stand up to every bully, navigate dealing with authority well, going to stand up for all the little guys, people will fawn over his bravery doing it, etc. Does not invent the wheel here and people who like these tropes will like them here.
Now the negatives: This is the first regressor story I've read where our MC keeps his memories but still forgets everything. Decades long career with fighting with his golem and squad of other "classes", yet he's sitting in "specific intro class 101" nodding along in the back about how he's learning so much. I.e. Having a second mana core was some revelation to him but in what world could have gone 30+ years fighting in the world with these people and not know that. It would be like saying I spent 40 years fighting in wars with guns and then saying you don't know the difference between a round and a clip. There's an excuse given for why he apparently doesn't know anything but it's a terrible one to be honest. The other huge thing that stands out is he's now an alchemist class but the dudes takes literally no notes. I.e. I'll just take a some of this special liquid and throw a few tuffs of random ass flower in and see what happens. Not even writing down quantities! Either it's a massive oversight or our MC is one of the dumbest you'll find in the genre.
Overall, I'd give this one a pass. I think there might be a solid story here but feels like the author is pantsing everything and it does not really fit together at this point. Definitely needs a strong run of substantive editing, maybe could get aw - CyappleRoyal Road★★★ 2.5Classic story with classic development. Nothing bad but nothing special about it either.
MC reincarnates and uses his knowledge to get stronger than in his previous life to prevent demon invasion.
For now there is not much details about the world or other faction. Slow paced story but that's fine. Characters are not very detailed but it may come later.
