Eyeball - Titanslayer
Community Rating
Description
Sometimes, you start off trying to be the hero of the story, and end up falling from grace. Other times you end up one of the most feared supervillains on the planet, tangled up with mobsters, criminals, aliens, and the occaisional damsel in distress, all after trying to make a few bucks.
Jason wasn't all that bright to start out with, but he knew about how his story would end. The events that led to a chunk of a depleted uranium shell embedded in his forehead were the predictable result of a soldier that led a long career of mediocrity and foolish mistakes; any one of which should have led to a long stay in a hospital and a medical discharge. Somehow, gaining the ability to predict the future only made things even more unpredictable.

- MadHat3rRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Enjoyable premise, characters, and wolrd. Grammar is not noticeably bad and things are done/explained in ways that leave the reader nodding along cuz they actually make sense. Only problem I've had with this story had to do with early on world building and a portrail of fighting against corrupt cops I felt definitely could have been handled in court what with truth sensing powers being a thing. Yet, where in most stories this would signal a steady decline in quality, things only get better as they go on here.
- BabyjerboaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This novel, is a simple, well executed power fantasy. I liken it to a Jason Bourne type of story, where character development is secondary to reveling in the badassery of the main character(not a bad thing and that's not to say that it isn't present). The main character is essentially agent 47 on steroids, bulldozing his way through a superhero infested reality. A hitman with precog abilities. Basically, it's just a fun read.
- ShadowKnight6992Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This novel is great and the technology parts are super fun to read about, though neutronium has become somewhat of a macguffin well I say somewhat, I mean in all the arcs neutronium is made to be the most strategic resource and everything builder so it kinda kills the plot when all you have to do is make a bullet out of it and 99% of everything dies
anyway the grammar is good, I especially like how the Russian is speaking in broken sentences.
the story and plot so far I really like, though I almost dropped it when Mc just kept getting mind controlled but that fixed itself.
the Mc is a genius, seer psychopath. So a seer that can build nukes in his basement that kills if it can better him and his stuff but he uses his head and uses it well. So 10/5 for sure I absolutely like this.
the side characters are interesting and I like how they are introduced, and I especially like how they aren’t 2D but are somewhat fleshed out, not needlessly but enough where you know them and actually want to follow along with what they’re doing.
So 10/5 you’ll like like novel if you get annoyed by the Mc’s who constantly forgive there enemies only to be backstabbed over and over again, because this Mc gets the job done the first time and ties up loose ends but he is a very smart Mc and technically gifted. - DRI1Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Good series about a supervillian with limited future sight, set in a world where superpowers are common and crime is plentiful because of this.
Worth a read, the worldbuilding is both strong and rational, very realistic for how a world with superpowers would turn out.
Overall, fun experience reading, even although superhero/villian stories are done to death already, this type of mc really made the experience fun, ruthless and practical, Eyeball is a strong and competent villain. - Negikrok101Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a riveting science fiction novel that seamlessly blends elements of adventure and technological intrigue.
From the very first page, the narrative grips readers with its vivid descriptions and immersive world-building. The author's attention to detail brings the universe to life, painting a vivid picture of advanced technology, sprawling cities, and the looming presence of the Titans. Each scene is meticulously crafted, transporting readers to a realm where the line between reality and fiction blurs effortlessly.
One of the novel's greatest strengths lies in its diverse cast of characters, each with their own unique motivations and backstories.
The pacing is expertly executed, keeping readers on the edge of their seats with its fast-paced action and unexpected plot twists. Whether it's intense battle sequences against the Titans or moments of quiet introspection, the novel maintains a perfect balance of excitement and intrigue throughout.
Furthermore, the themes explored in "Eyeball - Titanslayer" resonate on a deeper level, touching upon subjects such as the nature of humanity, the ethics of technological advancement, and the consequences of unchecked power. These thought-provoking themes elevate the story beyond mere entertainment, prompting readers to ponder the implications of the world presented within its pages.
In conclusion, "Eyeball - Titanslayer" is a masterfully crafted science fiction epic that captivates from start to finish. With its richly imagined universe, compelling characters, and thought-provoking themes, it stands as a shining example of the genre. Whether you're a fan of science fiction or simply looking for an exhilarating read, this novel is not to be missed. - ArcSteinRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0As far as superhero novels go, this one strikes a really satisfying balance of both fast and logical progression.
An in-between between Creep, Supervillainy and other poor career choices, and Industrial Strength Magic.
Eyeball is a book of a guy using the limited skill set and power given to them to the fullest.
Each arc has a solid and interesting beginning, middle, and end. Power-scaling makes sense within the books own established rules.
Every step of progress in advancing his capabilities is completely based on what he was able to do before, with the addition of some super-tech.
Also, zero plot holes! - GabryelRoyal Road★★ 2.0Long story short I just could not get into this. Which is really disappointing because the worldbuilding is actually quite decent and interesting. But the main character is just badly written. His motiviation is non-existant and how his story unfolds is just impossible to comprehend for me. I tried to slog it out, but this is no anti-hero that raises any interest. I just cannot empathize with the MC and his choices confuse me more than anything.
- The Captain of HellsingRoyal Road★★ 1.5This story is decent it's not great and it's not terrible it's just basic Eyeball is the type of stroy where you can just turn of your brain and enjoy the explosions where the mc is a complete 2 dimensional sociopath everyone else is a just a cardboard cutout of a character that has only 2 brain cells and the world the mc lives is never expanded on nor is it ever properly explained but it's got cool action so who cares so if you just want something to waste your time with and not use an iota of brain power reading this is the fiction for you
- DirtyWordRoyal Road★ 1.0The story was great until (The dragon empress - 28). Such a disappointment to see a good story completely ruined. Without spilling anything, that party of the story basically invalidates everything leading up to that point. None of the actions of the characters matches with the story leading up to this point. We go from interesting characters with depth, to paper cutout tropes in the down of a few chapters.
Style: 4 stars
Story: 4*, then minus 0* after the change.
Grammar: 4*
Character: 5*, then minus 0* after the change - CyphaRoyal Road★ 1.0What did I just read? It's the MC doing some insanely terrible decision making supported by super flimsy reasons coupled with insane plot armor.
Yeah I couldn't make it far into the story but if it already starts like this...
MC is a soldier who gets injured in action and gains a superpower. He is forced to retire due to the circumstances of the engagement where he got hurt (because he did stupid shit there). On a stroll he sees a teenager getting beat up. He proceeds to help just to find out the attackers (he just beat up) were cops. He then flees without trying to explain anything. Next he plans to rob a bank to get money in the territory of one of the worlds most powerful superheroes. The superhero appears and gets cold blooded killed by MC (yeah the MC that just saved a teenager from getting beat up).
