Description

Lucas Caelum was never meant to be a leader.

Raised off-grid under a new identity, he spent his teenage years under the watchful eye of his father, Victor—a brilliant but exiled physicist whose experimental fusion tech nearly changed the world… and nearly got him killed.

For years, Lucas thought they were just surviving in the shadows.

But the truth was darker. His life had been directed from behind the curtain—by hands far more powerful than he ever imagined.

When CrossTech finally catches up with them, Lucas is pulled into a mission that defies logic: a covert voyage beyond the solar system, powered by the same fusion technology that once destroyed his father’s reputation.

The deeper Lucas falls into the world of corporate empires, encrypted AIs, orbital fortresses, and weaponized ambition, the more he realizes nothing in his life has been left to chance. Not the job. Not the ship. Not even the people he thought he could trust.

As bonds form, and fracture, Lucas is forced to confront what it truly means to become a man—not in the eyes of the world, but in the wreckage of everything he once believed.

Betrayal. Love. Loss. Legacy.

In a world built on systems and lies, he’ll have to forge his own identity.

Because someday, Lucas Caelum won’t just survive.

He’ll rule.

And the galaxy will remember his name.

I'm genuinely impressed by the prologue & first chapter of this sci-fi story. The main character is compelling and well-written, and the world-building is both original and immersive. The author has crafted a narrative that pulls you in right away—it's clear this isn't just another generic sci-fi tale. With only one chapter released so far, I’m already hooked and eagerly awaiting the next installment. If the rest of the book continues in this vein, it’s going to be something truly special.

I actually really like the characters dynamics and visuals imagery. Just be careful to not repeat too many visual descriptions. I noticed it was an issue on the first few chapters but you seem to have gotten better at diversifying and reducing redundancies later on. You seem to be a newer author. I can actually tell your writing skills are improving as you post. Keep it up! I'm excited to see where this goes. I especially love Kabir and Lucas. Kabir breaks the tension and just the right places while Lucas definitely has that awkward teenager feeling down pat. John Adams reminds me actually a lot of Adam Jensen from Deus Ex. Julian... I think you should keep him more in the background. Less exposition from him could help. Clarence Bell comes off feelings like a complete prick but I actually really like that. He works well as a foil for the rest of the crew to bond over hating. Rachel and a Michelle could use some more differentiation. I kinda get the feel they're going for but maybe it'll be fleshed out more in the future. They don't feel as alive as the rest of the cast just yet. But I do love Rachel's jokes. Not overly sexual but keeps that seductive joking attitude. It works so far just dont overplay it.
