For fans of LitRPG that are looking for something that is on the darker side this is a good one to pick up! - Feyrbrand166Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Honestly enjoying this story thus far. Having fun with Kaizer's character and development.
I'm excited for what's about to happen and can't wait to get more. Noticed a few tiny issues with grammar here and there (it's good, just some line breaks etc) and loving the take on a LitRPG where things have to be earned and not just thrown at the MC.
Excited to see where this is going. Story to date is good and has huge room for growth.
Whilst we haven't seen too many characters just yet, the camp scenes have felt realistic and gritty.
If the author keeps this quality and update rate, I'll be glad I found this early. - Phantom SageRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story reads like the opening movement of a much larger myth, not just a system apocalypse. From the cold authority of the throne room to the brutal intimacy of the Wolf God’s trial and the quiet, terrifying politics of the beast pantheon, the narrative steadily widens in scope while deepening its emotional and thematic core. The integration of Earth is not treated as spectacle alone, but as a collision between mortal fragility and ancient, predatory divinities who are themselves struggling to survive relevance in a universe that no longer favors instinct over organization.
Kaizer’s progression feels earned rather than gifted. His transformation from an exhausted, isolated man into a chosen candidate of a primal god is driven by endurance, pain, and refusal to submit, not destiny. The Wolf God is not a benevolent mentor, but a survivor of extinction cycles, and that philosophy bleeds into every trial and vision. The later chapters, especially the council of beast gods, elevate the story from personal survival to cosmic evolution, showing that this is not merely about one man growing stronger, but about an entire forgotten power structure attempting to adapt before it is erased.
What makes the narrative compelling long-term is its balance of brutality and intelligence. Instinct is honored, but never glorified without consequence. Civilization, memory, and strategy are shown to be just as lethal as fang and claw. The system is not a guide, but a measuring tool, and the gods are not saviors, but forces competing to remain relevant in a universe that no longer waits for the old powers to catch up.
This feels like the foundation of a long-form progression epic where growth is not only numerical, but philosophical and evolutionary, with humanity positioned as the bridge between raw instinct and calculated divinity. - I L ShadeRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I really like this story. I like the fact that the system doesn't just show up, it is brought / imposed on Earth. And it is done to conquer it. I don't know why more authors don't do that? It makes so much sense.
The beats of the chapters is really good too. We go from the Prologue with the big bad to the main character who is stuck in a dead end job and has a gut, to when the system arrives seamlessly.
About the grammar, yeah I found a few of typos but who cares? They don't really take away from reading the book when the story hooks you. I will still take away half a star for those typos.
The character is the main problem for me. Not in the usual sense but because of the lack of explanation. Le me explain. There is this seen where he is forced to kneel and fights back. I want to know why he doesn't kneel. What compels him to stand and fight. I really like Kaiser but I think the author missed a chance to develop the character there. Maybe they will do it later. I will keep reading to learn more about Kaiser. - ShamwiseRoyal Road★★★ 3.0The story isnt bad. Bit rushed, definitely a bit forced. But not bad. Real problem is the random repeated or slightly changed dialogue. Some chapters have entrie paragraphs that are just copy and pastes from previous chapters. And its not an accident. The copy and pasted bits fit, they work. Its just they are exactly the same. And its not like they're one liners or something. Its 7 or 8 sentences about the enviroment or a bit of battle. He'll be looking at a corpse or following a trail and its the exact same 2 paragraphs from 3 chapters ago. Just shortcuts or ways to make chapters longer Idk.
