Description
Through all of Linaria, no dungeon holds such a grip on the dreams of men as the Eternal Depths.Hundreds throw themselves against its trials each day.Dozens survive, walking away with power and wealth beyond their wildest dreams… until they go back for more. One way or another, they all eventually feed the Depths.
Edmund Montgomery Ahab has sworn to destroy it.
Underleveled, undertrained, and underprepared, Edmund steps into the maw of the world’s greatest predator, a sword in his hand and vengeance on his mind.At first his task seems impossible, but with every level he earns, every piece of loot that drops, every secret he uncovers, and especially every bit of power he can squeeze from his mysterious connection to the Aspect ofMadness, Edmund crawls closer to accomplishing that insurmountable feat.
With nothing else to lose, Edmund has already given the Depths his life. All that remains to be seen is whether he takes the dungeon’s right back.
Dungeon Devotee is an episodic serial. It will never be taken down for KU.Each chapter details a single floor of Edmund’s journey through the vast Eternal Depths, with all the levels and loot and lack of cliffhangers that entails.New chapters come out on the first of each month.

- kolatRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is perfect so far.
We follow the journey of a meticulous and determined delver who swore to destroy the hardest dungeon in the world. I saw several stories where the dungeon decides to be civil. The first pages of RoyalRoad haven't seen a proper dungeon in a while, and this story is exactly that. We are given a dungeon in its brutal glory, with enough realism and wonder to set the balance that is unique among the stories.
The plot somehow reminds the anime called Cautious Hero in terms of how thorough our MC is. However, it is not the core but an aspect of the story. It doesn't focus on that, but gives the spice to the journey.
The pacing is perfect. All chapters are action-packed. Nearly every chapter is a floor of the dungeon, so things don't get stale at all.
The style is smooth. No info-dumps, the info is given when it is needed to the reader. The lore is given bit by bit, so we don't get tired.
The grammar is immaculate.
The characters are authentic. Our MC is a determined guy, hell-bent on destroying the dungeon. Our dungeon is an entity that values entertainment more than human life. The side characters do their job by providing interesting situations.
The story is interesting to read, and that's all I need. - Astro SkullRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This novel grasped me instantaneously ad never let go i binged it in a day and never once got bored. i just love the mystery of the past of the main character and the dungeon and i love the leveling system also there are no cliffhangers you would finish a chapter and none would be left but you can wait without even being mad that none is left! overall my favorite novel on royal road.
- jeffereRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I haven't seen any other novel so perfectly capture the single-minded desire of completing a goal. The MC has drive. It also captures the solitude of being in a dungeon. It feels like everything is trying to kill the MC which is nice, presents the story's tone as more realistic yet still fantastical enough that it feels fun to read. 10/10 would recommend.
- AAAAAAHRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is one of my favorite fictional works ever. I really like the way Edmund is portrayed and his slow progression through madness. Not only is the combat deeply engaging, but seeing the way his abilities change after each level is exciting and it makes me wonder what strange combinations he’s going to get.
From what I have noticed it is written well with minimal errors.
Though most of the side characters are pretty good, the focus of the story isn’t really on them. There are problems with them, but the writing of Liam and Edmund easily make up for it. The interplay between them is very enjoyable and how Edmund grows both more suspicious, but also more connected to him in response to his isolation is fun. In addition seeing how Liam has made Edmund more prone to risk by continuously forcing him to progress each level instead of stopping to train is fun.
I get that the author has stopped writing for the moment, and might not complete it considering how much better the other series is faring, but I really hope that this series is completed when the author has the time to do so.
On a personal note I would also like to reaffirm my statement that this is one of my favorite works and even if not everyone likes it I can’t wait for it to be continued. - Ezekiel_ChabarRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Found this story and burned through it in 2 days. 18 cahpters in 2 days you ask? Well they are big chapters. This is an interesting take on a dungeon diver story and very different from his other stories. Many foreshadowing events along they way which indicate the story has a plan. Looks like there will be at least 80 chapters with the current one chapter per dungeon level pace. Probably more with side quests and levels that have not been uncovered.
- HAHAHAHHAhahhahahahRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I think this book is quite good
there is a stable and sensible power per level type system
the characters motivation / reason for acting ifeels well thought out
the only way I could foresee this book becoming better than it already is is if it had more chappies! (chapters) - Ice ManRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0One chapter is a whole floor. One chapter comes out each month.
As of writing book one is finished and book two will come out on January first two thousand twenty three.
This is a great book that captures you in the first chapter, and every following chapter just binds you tighter.
Every chapter has volume, bigger than what is usual on this site, then again it is also considered unusual to upload only one chapter a month.
That is one of the things that make this story different. And worth the read. - J. Rod.Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Long chapters akin to the completeness you feel when reading a novel. I let the chapters stack up and what a treat. Unique take on attributes and dungeon delving. Worth the ride. If you make it to chapter 3, you're hooked. Ect ect ect ect ect ect ect ect ect
- RegarianRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0First dungeon crawl story I ever read and it has gotten me hooked on the genre! I have read all the chapters in less than a week and I can't wait for the next chapters to come out. Already looking for new stories with the same theme. It all feels so engaging, from the character motivations to the rpg mechanics.
- RunslerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So far this story is one i whished i would have only discovered in a few years, and i'd read all of that without being able to sleep or anything else before finishing it.
As is, while there are great recaps at the start of each chapter for those with bad memory (me) the long wait between chapters definitely takes some fun out of the reading. Considering to abandon it for a while, let it accumulate a few more chapters, and read them all at once then.
