(DROPPED) New Cosmos: A Spirit Vein's Journey to Immortality [A Cultivation LitRPG]
Community Rating
Description
The First Cosmos is crumbling.
And so, the gods have taken it upon themselves to create a new one.
The only problem is that they need to make everything from scratch again.
And that’s including the gods themselves.
...
Having lived a mundane life thus far, Arthur never expected himself to become a part of something big.
In fact, he never expected it at all.
Especially after dying.
From what he was told, he would give up his shot at normal reincarnation in exchange for an opportunity of a lifetime.
To become part of a massive project that would give him a system and turn him into the greatest energy source in the world of cultivation.
A spirit vein.
Normally, anyone in his shoes would have refused the offer.
But surprisingly enough…
Arthur felt compelled to say yes.
What to expect:
- Semi-detailed cultivation with lots of realms
- A system that feels like an incremental/clicker game
- Blue boxes. Lots of blue boxes.
- Slow start, but picks up in pace later on
- MC starts off as non-human, but eventually gains a human form later on
Chapter release rate: 2 chapters per week. Every Tuesday and Friday, 2am UTC+8.

- DeikonRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I've read all the way through the current chapters and I enjoy the story very much.
I like the MC and the other characters involved are interesting and I like the other points of view.
I like this new cosmos idea and I hope to read more chapters sooner then later - TianyiRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Una buena historia xianxia que no tiene jóvenes maestros ni nadie insufriblemente arrogante y un Mc que es inteligente y no como otros que parece que les falta sentido común y un trozo de materia cerebral, and well, it is a reading that gives you an interesting point of view, I recommend reading it
- TVoidSRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0With only 8 chapters available, I can't fully say this is great, but it does reach the level of 'pretty good'.
Style: it's decent. I have no complaints, but I cant say it's amazing either.
Story: too early to tell, I will add more stars as time goes on. This story definitely has the potential to gain a few points from me.
Grammar: Needs occasional correction, but pretty good most of the time.
Characters: I'm biased. I'm hoping Sisa and Arthur do well. Only 3 actual characters are in the story at this point, and even then only 2 of them are regularly around. Gotta wait for more. (Should be 3 stars right now. One for each character)
Kept up with the previous iteration of this story, which I enjoyed a bit more than this one so far, but I do see that the current iteration has more possibilities, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it pans out.
Good luck with the story Truedawn.
For those curious about the review title, the main character of the previous iteration of this story died to a falling banana. Don't drop things off the side of skyscrapers friends, people can die from the strangest things. - DefectivebyDesignRoyal Road★★★ 3.0People read cultivation novels TO GET AWAY FROM LITRPG. This novel takes everything wrong with both genres and mashes it into a disgusting lumpy cold festering moldy bacteria soup. They reincarnate a guy into a new universe to be a spirit vein, and HE DOES NOTHING, just follows instructions like an idiot. How about not repeating mistakes using advice from the people at fault? On top of this, there's a GATCHA MECHANIC, which the MC admits is cancer, previously ruined his life, and WHOOPS he pulled and got locked into trash. It's also PAINFUL to cultivate, but what's really painful is reading this novel. No. How about ditching the ENTIRE LITRPG, and GATCHA nonsense. A real cultivator would just declare himself ruler of the new universe and ignore how the old universe is dying. Of course that's not who this guy is, but he really should have the balls to rip out the litrpg and gatcha, and say it has no business dictating his actions. There is absolutely nothing fun reading this. It's super dry, worse than an instruction manual, and it IS an instruction manual. If the guy is a spirit vein, he doesn't need to follow a manual for mortals, he cultivates by existing, and cultivation doesn't use "upgrade points". Cultivation works through cultivating, not EXP. There's been a few novels that throw some elements together successfully, but this isn't it.
