Description

A young man wakes up following a tragic incident. A [GATE] opened in the middle of the road while he was driving, unleashing eldritch monstrosities upon mankind. He was one of the many people who fell victim to them during their first appearance. The young man didn't get the opportunity to flee or complain. He was killed in one swoop before accomplishing anything.

Or... that's what he thought at first. He wakes up in a new body, the body of a young woman?!

He's woken up as an Awakener, with the ability to return from death! Each time he dies, he is revived in a new body! With a growing will and a broken ability, he strives to level himself up to change his destiny of repeatedly dying!

So reading through this I did my best to get as far as I can so I can give it a honest review. I was only able to get up to chapter 6 without seeing some glaring problems. First the author has some very interesting ideas and does breath some life into this very extensive genre of litepg. I do think they did well when it comes to world building and setting the story. The first chapter I loved even if it was a little wordy and confusing. Now time for the things I feel like I could use a little work. Each chapter is very wordy. It feels like a paragraph could be simplified into a single sentence and all the information would get across smoother. All the characters feel static and not very real. They all act very similar and have very similar ways of speaking. It was very hard for me to view them as anythings but characters. Overall I did enjoy it in the sense of it added things I haven't seen on royal road before. As it seem to have a decent amount of lgbtq+ content in it as well as a mc that is trans. Over all it could use some polishing but it is not a bad read.

The characters are a bit 2 dimensional. Dialogue feels almost like a light novel but it feels a bit disjointed from the story, Like the formating could be an issue.
Also like it's very text light, you sorta need to expand on everything. It's all a bit simplistic. Like the world building doesn't feel like it's there.
