This is a fast-paced story with an interesting premise. Here the celestial beings are not just ideas or deities with little intervention but are directly responsible for the desolation of the world.
It begins with an intense prologue that serves as a hook to then take us on a journey with Axel and Becca revealing a very vast and diverse worldbuilding with other different races (so far, orcs, druids and demons) and some secondary characters whose reality shows us different aspects of Joseph's tyranny. While the celestial beings are dangerous, the protagonists will attempt an alliance with the monsters, which I found interesting.
It is very easy to connect with the character's goals as they seek to survive in a cruel world dominated by the power of the gods. One cannot help but wonder how the heroes will be able to defeat the celestial army.
The chapters may be short and the pace may speed up a bit but it is still a very entertaining read.

Story: The story is set in a medieval fantasy world with divine beings, demons, and mortals, where tyranny reigns and humans are oppressed by lies fed to them. It begins in the town of Neverport, where Axel, the mysterious protagonist, accidentally encounters Becca because her mother wants to steal something from him. Eventually, they join forces.  As Axel and Becca progress, they seek new allies, face challenges, and make deals with them. Another unique aspect is that it seems monsters are sentient beings, not mindless beast.
Characters: Axel and Becca are the main characters. Axel has a mysterious past and is faced with choices, while Becca is a character development type character with Axel had some kind of mentor role to her. Atlas and Arthur is their first ally, though with certain limitations. Xavier, a knight torn between loyalty and a good heart, seems will plays an important role, especially since he is connected to someone Axel knows (Patricia - mysterious character, who seems important). Jasmine I'm not sure about her, she might serve as a rival or enemy to Axel.
Another most important character is Diego... Well.... he is very important, without him the journey would progress much slower. (just joking)
Style: The style is short, concise, and to the point.
Grammar: I never have any problem while reading it so far.
Overall, its good fantasy adventure about gathering allies to face an ultimate threat.

Overall this is an entertaining story with an interesting concept. The MC are trying to start a rebellion against a god that has judged humanity harshly. It takes place in a fantasy word with magic and monsters that The MCs need to navigate to grow their power to eventually challenge a god.
The story feels a bit rushed in some areas and the characters development could use refinement but the world building and action are pretty good.
check it out. it's worth a read.

Cursed Empire: Rising Against The Gods, is a fantasy novel about a disgraced royal attempting to build up a small medieval town while rebelling against a deity intent on wiping out humanity.
The world itself is comprised of multiple warring fantasy factions and kingdoms, that open the world up with alliances and other political intrigues. Which offer an amount of potential for everyone even if the protagonist openly admits that outside of his faction of humans he is willing to kill everyone else for his goals.
This leads to the occasional moral debate not by the primary protagonist Axel, but by the secondary Becca as she comes to terms and learns how to build a kingdom. Her own opinions mixed and contrasting with Axel's.
The story itself has a fair amount of potential, but often feels like its rushing between events of one after the other. Whether this is just my preference for slower burns in progression stories or a matter of telling instead of showing is debatable at times.
All in all, while still a bit rough around the edges I believe that with a bit of polish and work this story does have the potential to become a notable medieval adventure.
