Description

Reality as you know it is a lie. Humans are not alone in the universe. The governments of Earth have conspired to hide the truth from all of us, to the point we've long since come to believe angels, demons, and monsters aren't real. They're considered myths, figments of our imagination, legends and fables told to children to keep them on the straight and narrow path.

But they're not. They're real, and they live in our midst.

Jason Hiro enters cryogenic stasis as part of a government science grant. Instead of waking up one year later, he awakens 100,000 years in the future, in a time when humanity has fallen and become nothing more than cattle for demons from Hell. He finds himself in possession of a legendary power known as Wordsmithing, magic capable of rewriting reality itself.

But Jason is not the only possessor of powerful magic. If he wishes to save humanity from their bondage, he will need to build a coalition of power to overthrow demonkind. Unfortunately, taking action is not so simple when there are countless powers ruling over the Milky Way... and beyond.

TCTH is anextremelylong story. At well over 1.5m words, it chronicles not just Jason's journey, but the ancient primordial battles between gods, the far-future wars which will follow him, and everything in between. This story features a lot of plot twists, deep interconnected lore, and characters that change and evolve in countless ways. Additionally, there is a great deal of emphasis placed on developing the massive cast of female characters, who are often underdeveloped in this genre.

Jason is theprotagonist, but he is not themain character. Every character is the main character in their own story.

This serial has been in development for over six years.I release a chapter every 1-3 days, with 2 being the average. While you canread the original release on Reddit, (There are PDFs and Epubs available!) the Royal Road version will feature a rewritten POV in the first half of the story from First Person Present Tense to Third Person Present Tense. There will also be plenty of cleanup in general, as the early sections are quite old and my writing style has changed over the years.

To get a good grasp on what to expect, consider readingThe Last Precursorfirst. It is designed to be a shorter introduction to the Cryoverse. It will get you invested in the battles between species, as well as the Cryoverse's overallNobledarktone.

This is a violent story. It features over-the-top battles of cosmic scale, but also many grounded magic and power systems all intertwined. If you are squeamish about descriptions of torture and brutality, you should turn away now.

This story also features tons of character artwork, though it comes in varying quality. Whenever new characters are introduced, they will typically feature artwork.

I hope you enjoy my work!
