Everything changes when she meets Leo, a new witch in the neighbourhood. They are drawn together by an undeniable connection of familiarity. With new determination and the help of Leo, can Lexi break free from the barriers of fear and forge a new path?
Secrets kept her safe from fate, but history repeats itself.

I love the magic and mystery. I loved Sabrina and if you know 'Hookie' the webtoon. I love anything that relates to magic. I thought magic system and world were the best parts of the book. In the ritual scenes the esoteric descriptions of magic in use came through really well, and I thought they were the highlights of the story. I appreciated the ‘grounded occult’ take on magic as opposed to the more cartoonish approach a lot of other writers take.
The Author here shows her ability to craft enjoyable and imaginative scenes and dialogue without falling into the trap of minimalism or being so descriptive that the story is slow. I envy the author for this; it is an excellent way for me, as a potential author, to learn how to write better. It's also refreshing to see a more Western-style story; give it a good read.
I promise you will enjoy it.
It is a binge worthy book! Hopefully the same level of suspense and charismatic characters continue unto the next series, loved the character development and dialogues! Keep up the good work! - DimensionalWriter27Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's actually quite the breath of fresh air to see a proper fantasy story with magical realism. All the stories I've seen seemed to revolve LitRPG in some manner or fashion, not to say that they are bad, actually they are quite good, but it gets repetitive for me after a while, which is something this story thankfully isn't guilty of, keep up the good work, I'll keep on reading on my free time.
- Eli'sPencilRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Grammar and Style
First and foremost, the grammar is great. The way sentences are strung together and the way things are described are masterful and akin to what you would see in published works. Anyone who may have come across any other review of mine may have seen me mention that grammar is the most important part of a story to me and that's still true here. Honestly, the grammar and style of writing are the best part of the story for me. I like looking at the way the words are put together.
Story
I want to preface the next part by saying that this story isn’t necessarily my cup of tea per se, but the story itself is high quality. I’m usually not into stories about high school girls with slice-of-life elements, but it is very well done. If you’re into witchcraft and seeing how a witch would live life in a modern world filled with mystery and magic, you’ve come to the right place.
Characters
The dialogue is also great. Every word feels natural and the way friends, family, and such converse, they truly feel like real people. The main character is very likable and I catch myself wanting to learn more about them.
Despite the genre not being my thing, it’s clear that this story is very well-written and deserving of recognition. It beats a lot of what’s out there in my opinion. - SkarabraeRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Style: The author's way of writing is pretty unique, and it fits the feeling the author's trying to create. It is, however, a bit light on literary devices. But it's fine aside from that.
Story: The story is an incredibly slow-paced slice of life revolving around witches. It has a heavy focus on character development, and magic is mostly in the background for a very long time in the story. I can say the same about the plot. The story takes a while to get into the main plot. Whether or not you like this is based around personal preference. If you like incredibly slow-paced stories that slowly build up to a plot over a long series of chapters, this story is for you. If you prefer something that has a moderate to fast pace, you will not like this.
Grammar: There were a few grammatical errors, some of which were distracting, but those were few and far between.
Character: The story's emphasis on character development and slow pace works to its benefit in this category. The characters are all incredibly realistic. I could see them being real people. They are also all three-dimensional and very well depicted. In short, the characters fit Royal Road's criteria perfectly. - CosmicSlimeRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0For the first few chapters, the story feels like a typical high school drama. Even though they occasionally mention witches in the beginning, they’re not really a standout aspect here for the most part, so it would have been nice to start the story off with some exposition about the world you’re trying to build. Also, even though they didn’t do anything major in chapter 1 I had a pretty hard time keeping track of all the characters. Lathen, Quinn, Seri, Devan, Alex, Megan…. All of these characters appear within the first three chapters so it’s pretty easy to lose track of who’s who. The grammar did have a few rough edges but overall it was alright. You might also wanna include more setting descriptions, I don’t remember seeing a passage describing their schools name or appearance so, it’d be nice to include some extrasensory details. As for the MC, Lexi is a niche female lead, while she does operate with much of the same mannerisms as a typical teenager, there is some allure to her, especially with that whole dream sequence thing going on, and the addition of her younger brother into the mix does add an extra layer of depth to her character. I can’t say much about the other characters just yet but I’m looking forward to seeing their development.
