To live as something other than a human within human society is a difficult enough task on its face, for those shapeshifters or human-passing magical beasts who want to integrate into the world of humanity. Jasna is a nearly eight foot tall demon mostly covered in blue scales, with two pairs of birdlike wings on her back and zygodactyl hands and feet. She can't hide within the crowds. All she can do is take it day by day. Set in the same universe as Heat-Seeking Behavior, Crystal Systems Imperfect Shapes, Obsidian Beauty, and Forward Thinking, but a fully standalone story.
