Description
It was only when we were about to lose everything that I realized I knew nothing about the people I'd served for years.
We had forty minutes to fix that.
These are their stories.

- dhIV2eWAl5dYX+Av1o6UiheVu31B2LRoyal Road★★★ 3.0The premise is as simple as it is intriguing: while most of the citizens escape from what one can only suppose is a nuclear attack on New York, some stay behind, facing the end in their favorite bar. The atmosphere is properly set, if at times a bit melodramatic. The grammar is flawless, as is the spelling, however the register stays somewhat simplistic. While the story has an interesting premise and is quite well-executed I can't help but sometimes feel like there are a few too many stereotypes involved. The story would also definitely benefit from a few more details, as five chapters is really only fit to give a cursory glance into the character's lives and struggles.
TL;DR Decent at what it tries to accomplish, although suffering from excessively limited chapter count and some rather glaring stereotypes.
