Description

What would it be like to be a punny, black and yellow, honey-making insect in a world dominated by humans? In his first life, Enno wouldn’t be able to answer that question. His second life is a different story. Reborn as a psychic bee in a tumultuous new world, Enno may or may not go on to create a fervent bee family obsessed with turning the entire world into their hive. Humanity is fighting to stay dominant, monsters are becoming restless, and the gods are NOT happy. If Enno wants to succeed, he’ll have to contend with giant killer birds, angry humans, and even the voice in his own head.Because his body’s previous owner never vacated the premises. What to expect: An ever-expanding world. Quite powerful protagonist. A magic system based on psychic/mental powers Interpersonal and internal conflicts Hive-mind shenanigans Undermining a god-made gamelike system. And puns. Lots of 'em. Maybee too many. A story inspired by series like Overlord by Kugane Maruyama and So I'm a Spider, So What? by Okina Baba, as well as the many litrpg stories here on RoyalRoad. The story follows a reincarnated guy who coinhabits a queen bee and explores the new magic system of Mind as well as plays around with the mental system to expand the colony and face ever increasing threats.
The comedic aspects really got me. Honestly, I should've expected it with a title like Beesekai, but it was really interesting seeing the interaction between an introvert reincarnated engineer, a queen bee with the behavioural patterns of an actual bee, as well as the other characters further into the story.
For the story, I've only just begun to dive into it, but the plot line seems clearly established with the setup for multiple goals that the main character intends to reach. I'll avoid spoilers, but there are quite a few goals that keep me quite interested in how everything will play out.
The grammar is around about perfect, so nothing much to say there.
The characters so far are uniquely distinct. It usually gets a bit complicated with so many characters, but it is quite easy to distinguish who is saying what. Still, I feel like any large cast of characters always has the issue of making every character uniquely distinct, and the author has addressed this point by making the colony focus on quality rather than quantity, but it will be inevitable that the quantity of characters eventually becomes a little overwhelming. Still, as to the point I've read to, everything is absolutely great.
Overall, a pretty great story. I'll be diving deeper into this story as I'm a sucker for organizational stories.

Enno is your average corporate office worker. He likes to finish his work in a timely manner so that he can kick back and relax with some videogames, enjoying his own company. He doesn't need anyone else. In a twist of events Enno finds himself dead and reborn sharing a body with a queen bee that he refers to as "Queen". Alongside Queen, is their daughter Beatrice who comes along for the ride as these two navigate a treacherous world. Oh and there are guns too.
Style (5/5): I really enjoyed the style that the author employed. The story is told from a first-person perspective so Enno's immediate thoughts are made available to us. The comedic tone shines through and despite the stories promise of puns, the jokes and the banter are fresh and never overstay their welcome.
Story (5/5): The story is great so far, focusing on Enno gathering his bearings in this new world he finds himself in. The way he and Queen navigate their treacherous surroundings and progress their abilities using the System are at the crux of this story. Despite seemingly dire circumstances this is first and foremost a comedy and situations are presented as light hearted which does wonders in adding a certain charm to the characters and the world as they overcome each obstacle.
Grammar (5/5): I didn't find any grammatical issues.
Character (5/5): I love the banter between Enno and Queen. His incredulity to the situations they find themselves in contrasts with Queen's straightman attitude and provides a lot of depth and variety to their interactions. Their daughter Beatrice is simply adorable and her personality is incredibly endearing.
I highly recommend this story for isekai enthusiasts looking for something novel and fresh in an oversaturated genre.

I hadn't expected to enjoy a story from the perspective of a bee this much, even if I personally like bees in real life. But that just goes to show how wonderfully fun (and punny) Beesekai is.
    Style:
Even if I don't usually read first person stories, there were absolutely no issues with bee-ing completely immersed in this story. Duvil writes with great humor and flair, as well as a wonderful pacing that means there's never a dull moment to bee had. Also really enjoy the skills and the way they're portrayed - not only do they make sense for a bee, but the way Enno learns about his new world and abilities is both realistic and gripping. I also really like that this story is from the perspective of a human isekai'd into a bee - it's not just unique, it also affords a lot of opportunities to play on perspectives.
    Story:
It's a lot of fun, and I especially adore the environmental message as well as the fact that Duvil is highlighting the importance of bees in the ecosystem. The way Enno learns about his new form and world, the trials faced and skills explored - everything is hive-ly entertaining and you'll bee absolutely engrossed as you read.
    Grammar:
Nothing to say, it's well-written and I couldn't find any flaws.
    Character:
Enno and Queen are fascinating, with the glimpses of their backstories fleshing them out without being overwhelming. Beatrice is adorable and I can't say more without spoiling. Duvil has created a bee-livably lovable cast you can't help rooting for.
    Overall:
Whether you like bees or not, read this. It's truly un-bee-lievably good fun.

All the good pun titles were used in other review titles, every good one I thought of was taken.
This story is weird and different, but in a good and interesting way.  I honestly never thought a story about an insect could ever interest me, but this one proved me wrong.  It kept and held my interest.
STORY AND STYLE - I didn't care for the MC at first, but he grows on you.  What kind of party-pooper doesn't want to see a backflip?  The writing is solid, even with the complication of multi-minding first-person.  And this is good first person, where it’s leaned on, and doesn't read like slightly different third person, even with POV shifts (and a few perspective shifts even).   Nice, distinct prose.  Consistent structure.  Great pacing with no boring or parts you want to skip.  The MC is killed and joined with a giant queen bee on a different world.  The queen be has mental magic and psychic powers, in a forest devastated by humans, and overrun by scavenger creatures.  The RPG system is pretty distinct, and seems lite, but is pretty involved so far.  Abilities range from laying eggs (and picking the type of bee-unit the egg lays), to unlisted abilities such as auto flight or being able to snap the neck of a dozen squirrels at once.  I’m very interested to see where this goes.
CHARACTERS – The MC is likable but with a few issues, and every character is distinct with their own motives and personality.  Beatrice is a little bossy.  The queen a little traumatized.
GRAMMAR – No real issues at all.  I didn’t find any typos at all.

Resistance is futile, brave readers, for the promised queen has come to deliver upon us her swift and sweet gift. Embrace the puns, be one with the hive. We have honey, many and plenty~
    Style and Story:
At its core, this novel is a light-hearted survival tale of a young queen bee who has to rebuild her kingdom. Of course, the part where said queen also shares the mind of a newly reincarnated human adult definitely makes this novel stands out from the norm, especially when their story is also told in the first-person perspective
In this magical world, everyone possesses something called “system” that dictates their path in life. Yet, as our story progresses, the struggle to unravel one’s true potential reveals an unexpected depth to the many mysteries of the world. Furthermore, our protagonists’ conflict against humans, the most dangerous predators that ever walked the earth, is something that will constantly keep you on the edge of your seat
    Grammar:
The grammar is clear and concise. Meanwhile, the puns are many and aplenty, which makes the happy moments all the more joyful. Of course, like a calm before the storm, they also make the looming future ever less certain…
    Character:
Enno, who is your everyday isekai’ed man, definitely makes one heck of a roommate with the old soul of his new body. Together, these two must rely on each other to survive and thrive, all while enduring the other’s antics. The dynamic between them and the hive’s denizens is also a treat in its own right, especially with all the misunderstandings and shenanigans a single mother bee has to handle
I would also like to share my opinion regarding the young bees. While every single one of them is a small bundle of delight in their own right, this only makes me more frightened for their future. After all, an unavoidable conflict is brewing in the background, and it would just be a matter of time before it claims the life of someone from the hive…
Overall, I would say that this novel is an interestin

Beesekai follows an introverted electrical engineer who has reincarnated as a queen bee.
Before I get into the review I'll state for the record that this is the first system story (and written isekai) that I have ever engaged with, so keep that in mind as you read my comments here.
Style: The story is told in first-person, which does a lot to spice up the first 3 chapters thanks to the humor of Enno's inner monologue. The paragraphs are short and the language used is usually simple and effective, (which keeps the story low-pressure and helps it move quickly) though whenever a descriptive paragraph comes along it tends to be a cut above in quality. The writer has some serious chops, which is likely to become even more obvious as the story progresses beyond Enno's initial experience of this brave new world.
Story: I like how the world Enno spawns into isn't typical fantasy fare. Everything is kind of fucked up and destroyed, and there is a heavy survival aspect to Enno's early trials there. It's fun to watch him race against the clock to master his new abilities, and chapter 4 represented a nice heightening of the stakes, conflict and character development, setting the plot on an upswing that is sure to create even more interest as the story goes on.
Grammar: No significant issues. The author knows his stuff, and has crafted Beesekai as a smooth and enjoyable read.
Character: I like the characters, I really do. But I admit I have subjective issues with Enno's ability to take everything in stride. My guy is getting pulled around by shadows in the afterlife: "muh weekend." Wakes up as a bee: "uh, what?" Passes out, wakes up, confronts truth: "goddamn." Learns there is a complex system guiding his every move: "oh yah I read books like this." Bro. Does nothing get to you? You should be having an existential crisis right now
I get it. System isekai readers are probably tired of watching characters have a full blown menty b after reading dozens of stories like this. But for

Beesekai is, as the title suggests, about being reborn as bee. And not just any bee, but a queen bee, one with the capability to create and give birth to one's own hive. And I absolutely love it. It takes inspiration from similar stories but distinctly makes the premise its own, especially thanks to the setting and world that's been depicted so far and the specific System and RPG mechanics the author employs.
I'm a sucker for narratives with first person perspective when done well, and this story is definitely one that executes it well. Enno makes for such a fun and at times actually really funny narrator. It also enhances the dialogue between him and the other characters, especially him and the Queen, whom he shares his new queen bee body with.
Grammar is also great, with only a few minor mistakes that don't affect my enjoyment of the story.
The story so far depicts Enno's new life in a new world, where, being a queen bee, he ends up building his own hive to survive, eventually populating it with bees who end up having their own distinct personalities. There seems to be plot points set up for the future regarding conflict with the humans, who had razed the forest before the start of the story.
And the characters here work well, especially Enno himself, who genuinely comes across as a jaded corporate worker now reborn as a bee, at many points understandably confused at beeing (I'm sorry), well, a queen bee. The author points out that the character dynamic is much of like that of the crew in Overlord, but I'm looking forward to how the author decides to develop and take it forward himself.
Overall, enjoyable read, recommend to anyone who's a big fan of stories about the protagonist being a monster building up their monster crew.

Overall this is a pun filled story about a man reinarnating into a Queen Bee. Which is a strange concept at first. Beesekai, great name by the way, is an interesting story to say the least. I was hesitant to read it at first, but I am glad I did.
Style: Your writing style is great. Your paragraphs flow well and mesh together nicely. It adds up to really nice and well-written chapters. I found your incorporation of puns throughout the story to be masterful.
Story: You have written an interesting tale about Bees. Bees in a world fraught with danger. Dangers like scavenger birds and carnivorous squirrels. And dangerous Humans with magic boom sticks. The setting so far of the smoldering ruins of a forest is interesting and I can't wait to read further to find out more.
Grammar: I found no glarring errors or anything that took away from the story in anyway.
Character: You have quite the cadre of interesting characters. Even though they are all Bees in some shape or form, they are still individuals. Which was quite a nice surprise in a story about Bees. I like it. You have two unique characters in one with Enno and Queen, which makes for great character interactions. Then with Beatrice being a sassy secretary and you have the set up for some really funny stuff. Great stuff!
All in all I will be reading further and look forward to future chapters. I can't not find out where this is going. Well done. If you like Isekai stories, Bees, or both I highly recommend giving Beesekai a read. You won't regret it.

This story takes the Isekai format and adds a large twist.  As the name implies, Beesekai does not reincarnate the MC into one of your standard humanoid creatures.  Nope, Enno comes back as a queen bee.  And he is not alone.  He shared the mind space with the original young queen.  Together the two of them have to figure out how to work together and recreate a new hive.
STYLE: I’m not the target audience for this story.  The writing has more of a stream-of-consciousness style than a descriptive narrative one. I prefer the latter.  It also loves plays on words.  While I do enjoy clever turns of phrases, I have friends who have punned me to death.  I was also having a bit of a hard time with the staccato sentence structures.
STORY: I do like that the story is unfolding.  We have questions that the first-person perspective can’t answer as the MC is unaware of the answers.  The unknowns are not confusing though.  We clearly know what the situation is just not all of the why’s.
GRAMMAR: I did not see any errors.
CHARACTERS:  The characters are fairly lightly drawn here.  We have some glimpses into Enno personality but mostly it this through his active thoughts.  The Queen is also fairly nebulous.  Actually, my favorite part was seeing the world through the eyes of Beatrice for a little while.  The perspective of MC’s right-hand bee was very well done.
The story has a great deal of fun with itself and that makes it enjoyable to read.  If you like stream-of-thought style stories then I would give Beesekai a try.

I think this is good, I get a nice sense of who is who, even if it’s going to vanish when the MC’s world changes, and Kanan *heh* have to laugh at that, because it’s part of my online name!
I can feel their friendship, just in the banter, good job there, and so fast, damn, it’s gone.
It is a very fast change, but I’m kind of glad, beecause it makes me not over attached to the friends, and yeah that can be hard. Almost like a prologue, and they are hard to get right. (in my mind)
    Story.
I’m going to put system in here as well, because I love that there’s a combined mind. Works for banter, and friendship and lots of things. One of my overall favorite ways to make a world work, and feed information when its needed not all at once.  so I’m happy you went this way, it’s a companion without it being an actual pet/familiar, they’re there all the time and experience things as you do. You got me invested with this and the Queen right away. And the fact ‘humans caused harm, sniff’
Chapter 2, the devastation, and the hope. That last line, beautiful. Seriously.
Chapter 3. I love Queen, haha she has great character! “I cannot tell if you were sent to save my life or to torture me.”
I am glad they got something to eat in the end, even if it wasn’t Jelly.  heh
For him to make an egg, and then reason around making them, that was interesting, and the system around this and the mind connection with the baby bees, I want the little first egg to hatch now.  and she’s adorable too, and organised! Naming them though, I can see why that’s not a good idea when later there could be thousands, lol
“I was simply famished and had to properly organize the food,” the bee said,
I love the realisation the MC has in laying more eggs. ‘I will never be alone again,’
Five more coming! And five more names, I hope we don’t name them all, I’ll never remember them lmao, and the fun around that in itself is great.
    Style.
Okay, I like your style of writing, it’s easy to read, and flows pretty well. Dialo
