Verek was no one, worse than no one, he was a Cypher Slave. A person used to hold the fuel for Spells but prohibited from binding and casting them. For Verek, life is hard and unforgiving, but a chance encounter throws it all into chaos, allowing him to rise above. However, he must first learn that things can always get worse, hopefully he will live long enough to know that they can always get better.
