After the stories of book 1, we finally get to take a look inside the famed academy as we follow Anaya - who faces her very own set of struggles while our other heroes play around in the ruins.
Very well written, even better than the first one in my opinion, Anaya is a very relatable character with an interesting set of abilities...and more challenges and power struggles ahead of her than one would initially expect in a place of learning. Some of the new characters we meet are quite mysterious and make you wonder who will turn out to be a true ally and who will simply try to use our heroine to further their own goal - if she actually has any allies in the first place. It's a delicate balance, keeping the academy going... and I can't wait for the next chapters!
