- RappidFruitBasketRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is unexpected for me. I thought it would go into great detail about the characters of other stories, the plot of other stories, but it doesn't and that works better than I expected for it. I've recently come to understand fan fic that makes a story within the original story is far better than one that follows the original story, and this helped contribute to that belief.
I hope to see more wonderful work from this author, and I will definitely check out more of their work because of this one. - SolaceAvatarRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Definately got the potential to get pretty crazy in this one, a god makes a sort of prototype isekai-janitor (stop isekaing and messing up the multiverse!) with 6 (mostly locked) powersets! ... then loses her. Currently unlocked is the first, from FATE. Read about a wandering soul crossing worlds, trying to clean up messes. So far we've seen Bleach and Eragon, who knows how many worlds will come!
Definately a unique premise, and pretty open-ended just how crazy this can all get. Is our MC going to end up fighting Dr. Manhattan? The story's been pretty good giving the OP MC actual challenges and keeping it all from being a cakewalk, unstable life force from being a barely-functional prototype gives things stakes even with the crazy powers.
So far the MC is just trying to survive, and worldhopping means she can't just bank up a roster of powerful friends to solve any problem she can't, which is the main problem with isekai's, in my opinion. It's one thing to have an OP MC, but if they're also backed by the world's greatest military and pretty much unlimited political support, you can't come close to challenging them without threatening the whole world. Having to figure out new worlds and do things on her own is (so far) keeping the stakes... existant, even at relatively low power level scenerios.
The grammar is flawless as always, and characters have actual personalities and challenges, and their own points of view are relavant to their behavior and how they fit in the story. Definately worth a read!
But that's not all! This author has a number of crossover stories going on at once (and a few on hiatus you can still check out!), so if you liked this one, consider also reading:
Mass Effect: Knight of the old republic: Revan from the Old Repubic, sent into the Mass Effect series! First isekai I've seen that didn't start on earth. Honestly more similaraties between Reapers and Red Sith tech than I figured, these two series are interwoven surprisingly flawlessly into poss - VeivisurterRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Its some nice bleach/fate crossover fanfiction. If you have read any of azureblade's other works you are probably going to enjoy this. Vise versa as well. Only real complaint is that it probably takes away time azure might otherwise use to work on some of thier other projects.
Seriously, if you like fanfiction at all read some of azure's works. They are all quite high quality and about the only thing that keeps me from raving about this one in particular is that I'm not personaly very interested in bleach. - kingdedede11Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Best story I have read in quite some time. It combines multiple sorry universes together with a consistent main character who, while quite powerful, is still able to make mistakes.
I love how the story universes that we've seen so far follow roughly the direction that they do in the actual stories, but start deviating slightly over time as the presence of a stranger makes everything slightly different. - NovusPeregrineRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I admit, I wasn't expecting much from this one and nearly passed it over. That would have been a tragic mistake. The writing quality is fantastic, it avoids the drug out pacing hell of most multi-world stories, and the MC is actually quite likeble.
Honestly, the only reason is loses the .5 star from me is a tendency by the author to forget certain abilities that the character has, which should trivialize a number of problems and situations. - KnightessValerianaRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Love the story and the plot lines that are being used. Need new chapters/pages please as I need to read more of the story. Longer chapters/pages would be nice too. More in depth of the plot details and dialogue is welcomed as well as more character development and relationships between arcs.
- KammalRoyal Road★★★ 2.5This fic has a lot of issues that make it hard to enjoy.
To start, it seems like the author doesn't have a strong grasp of the Nasuverse and MGLN, which leads to some jarring inconsistencies.
The protagonist’s powers and limits are never fully explained and just change whenever it suits the plot rather than following any established logic. It’s tough to really describe how bad this is without spoiling anything.
Characterization is all over the place, too. Many characters come off as props with little depth. The pacing doesn’t help either—it's like the author loses steam and just rushes arcs to abrupt endings.
Another problem is the overuse of certain clichés, like the protagonist always passing out.
Interestingly, I have read one of the author's newer fics, which feels like it was written by a completely different person and avoids most of these issues, which is why I stuck with this one for as long as I did, hoping it would get better.
Unfortunately, around the halfway mark, I realized there was no point in continuing. I can’t say if the newer chapters improved or not, but even if they did, it wouldn’t be enough to make up for the bad start.
