A Verdant Mask

Nick is running from something. He had been for a while, but now it's not a metaphor. Being suddenly forced into another world was just one more obstacle. In an environment entirely different from his own, with an alien presence taking root in his mind, will he ever find the time to stop running?

While this has the same title, this story has changed almost entirely from when I first started writing it, due to some much needed critique. I'm confident the end result will be better for these changes, but the story will be vastly different from before.
