In a world where powers emerged without explanation, a government backed company stepped forward to guide the powered forward. Superhuman Industries. Generations have come and gone, but SI is still the best of the best, and the meeting place of our two leads.

Summer always wanted to be a hero but her useless power shattered her dreams before they could even start. One day, SI scouted her to help fight a villain whose weakness fell right into her niche. She lives her dream in front of countless news cameras for two years when… The villain quits? The next thing she knows she has asked a young official in SI on a date so he can tell her the secrets to become a better hero.

Ashton dreams of a life of stability. Normalcy was something too far gone for him to achieve. Then one day he made a deal with the CEO of SI. Graduate with a minimal degree from college, and he would be guaranteed a position within the company for life. The deal came with some unexpected strings, but everything was worth it when he was able to leave everything behind on the day of his graduation and lead the stable life he had longed for. And then he started dating a hero.

It doesn't try to hard to be a grand epic story, but still manages to have a good amount of intrigue and plot hooks. It is light enough to pick up and ready a chapter or two without getting lost.
The prose is pretty good, a few grammar errors here or there, but easily fixable with another editing pass.
    Looking forward to more!
