Ngalse and Giriladze Preparatory Academy is an experiment. It is the world's first truly international public magnet school program for magic, and it is almost not a trainwreck.

The idea was sound. Bring together talent and technique from all over the world. Make no assumptions, bar no innovation. Start early. Yes, itsoundedlike a good idea.

Brought together by a love of teaching and a nationally funded cash stipend, the instructors at NG Prep have developed a radical curriculum which mixes magical disciplines from around the world. Now one year in, they're starting to wonder whether teaching teenagers to throw lightning was unwise.

But our misfit band of slacker teachers need to get their act together, because a hero has enrolled at NG Prep. A boy with a destiny written in the stars. But he's just a kid, and meantime he's got enemies who'll do whatever it takes to cut that destiny short.

It will take a heck of a teaching staff to keep him safe.
