The Specters of Humanity had a purpose. For decades, they traveled The Endless Realms looking for the materials they needed for a special mechanism.

A mechanism that would send one of them to the past, to the old Earth. Before the beings from other worlds came and killed billions. Beforemagicandqiandmonstershad destroyed everything that remained and built a slave world on the smoking ruins.

After many trials and brutal battles, it was done. They had all the pieces they needed. There was just one problem.

The Specters of Humanity had fallen. All of the remaining members had been killed in the final battle.

All except one.

He wasn't a founding member. He was a villain, a monster they'd beaten into submission and forced along their quest. The only reason he hadn't been killed originally was that he was from the same place as them. The ruined Earth.

And now Henry Stroeder, the Demon of Slaughter, was the only thing that could protect it from what was coming.

(This is my first real writing project. It will not be good. The character is a partially reformed villain. No harems.)

The summary explains almost everything. But the novel is more than that.
The people in the novel have real personalities. You can understand that each of them is a different person in only 7 episodes. they are not npc from the classic xuallian series. people you care about and wonder about.
especially our mc henry. henry is a bad person who has done bad things in his past, some willingly and some unwillingly. at least that's my opinion. When he meets his family again, he does not hug them and cry, he immediately enters the monu to keep them alive because he cares about them. I think this is the real indicator that you care about them.
I am a veteran reader. When he tells his family the truth, his family asks him for proof. Henry presents this proof to them. Honestly, I didn't think it would come this early.
I'm curious about henry's path. I wonder about his family and his future. I believe his time before the portal apocalypse might give him enough time to rehabilitate.
I'm following the novel, I'll probably check it daily. I suggest you read.

i really enjoyed reading th first couple chapters while it was on hiatus. i’m really stoked there’s gonna be more! i love regression / cultivation fics, so this is totes up my alley. give it a shot if you like that sort of thing. it’s got good grammar, and the hook at the beginning was killer, i though.
