Description

Has god forsaken you or have you forsaken god?

One final bet that changed the lives of every human left on earth overnight. One day, you're fighting over dwindling resources with your fellow men, the next, you find yourself stranded on an eternal battleground between powerful, shrewd, ruthless monsters and the natives of another world. Oh, and the world itself that seems to want you dead.

This world, ruled by fear of apex predators, rather than the power of kings or warlords, operates on different rules and principles: Though divided into civilians and combatants, each day the struggle to survive finds everyone indiscriminately of age, gender, background or social standing. Blessed with a soulbound spirit beast that grants access to an ancient system providing the strength and abilities to stand against this world's threats, will humanity adapt to the harsh rules of this world - or fight to defy them?

This question however is not something Nathan would ever concern himself with. His mental state was finally beginning to stabilize after his and his brother's daily fight for survival had finally taken a turn for the better, but now, thrust into this shithole, he started to consider that maybe, just maybe, sanity might be overrated.

Join Nathan on his journey to find his brother again and what else might motivate someone who acts before he thinks - and see how this trait affects not just him, but his entire party of 5 people. Come to think of it, what's with this world's obsession with the number 5?

New chapters will be released every friday (when I'm not having an existential crisis).

You can expect a heavy focus on worldbuilding in the beginning, so yes, slowprogression. Sorry not sorry.

Also no overpowered main characters, no harem and no sexual content.

Hope you enjoy!

I got non-native-speaker disadvantage, so it really helps me improve as an author to learn how the same paragraph couldalsobe written, and seeing which flows better (and why).
