Description

In a world where superpowers are the norm, Hiro Kazuma has a life that no one would envy.

Born without any powers, Hiro chooses to patrol the bustling streets of Musutafu City as a vigilante, helping the needy and stopping the occasional robbery.

It was a simple enough life, but not all threats to the city come in the form of moustache-twirling villains and snarling bank robbers.

After meeting the CEO of a support item company, Miles Cooper, in a chance encounter, the vigilante is given a chance to improve his capabilities as an unofficial hero. In return, he is to work with Miles to investigate a corrupt politician, Yamato Gouma, who is apparently hell-bent on bringing the whole country to his heel.

But without the law and hero reinforcements on their side, the duo have to face one of the most powerful men in Japan all on their own. Are they up to the task?

This fanfiction was an engaging and thoughtfully crafted piece that immediately drew me in. What stood out most was the authenticity of the characters—you remained true to their original personalities while adding depth and nuance that made them feel even more compelling. The emotional layers were handled with care, creating moments that felt genuine and easy to connect with.
Your writing style is fluid and expressive, allowing the story to unfold naturally. The pacing was well-balanced, giving important scenes the attention they deserved while keeping the narrative moving. The dialogue felt realistic and meaningful, which added to the overall immersion.
I also appreciated the attention to detail throughout the story. The descriptive elements and character interactions added richness and helped create a vivid atmosphere. The relationships between characters felt believable and contributed to both their development and the progression of the plot.
Overall, this was a well-written and memorable piece that showcases both creativity and skill. It left a strong impression and made me interested in reading more of your work in the future.

A tightly written narrative set in the MHA universe with a quirkless hero and a cast of characters with a connected and dark past. The first couple of chapters are a bit rougher than the rest, but beyond that it finds itself with twists and turns. There is chapter 20 which probably should earn this a content warning (the author will probably add it) which is disturbing. The characters have trust issues for good reason and much of the plot is slowly uncovering the history and how it all connects with a villain who is a bit cartoonish, but it fits with the MHA setting.
Prose and grammar are good, a few stumbles here and there in the beginning with particular fight scenes. Other parts are expressions that do not feel Japanese, though these too will probably be fixed. The story is pretty tightly written so it doesn't veer off into a large cast with a bunch of loose ends. This makes the conclusion solid.
The characterization of Jelly Girl was actually fun and acted as a good counter the weight of the opening with Hiro. While I did not particularly like Miles Cooper's attitude, I do understand it. He just veers between eccentric and incompetent at times - though our first solid look at his character does show his priorities and focus are not altruistic and his actions are not fully honest. This makes the characters more human, and it works well. Zero Hero puts forth the idea that having no quirk can be a strength in certain situations - and in the end, the most important parts of this are not related to fighting. It made the narrative arc and conclusion enjoyable to see something besides 'raw power' as a central point to resolving it. I won't spoil it, read it for yourself.

You have a decent grasp of the writing medium. The use of quirks and gadgets seems rather thought-out and interesting. You mixed world-building and action scenes so well done. There is also a layer of mystery set up even in the first chapter, which you can theorise much with.
All in all, it was a solid read.
