- sam1521Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Interesting i like this a look at how growing up with one of the Celestial [items] changes ones perspective. I am looking forward to seeing where this progresses. I particularly like how you are making Harry grow in character from an infant with an abnormal mindset to how he is now… still strange, but conscious of his abilities. Now it that pesky “saving people thing” complex would just relax a bit
- Posiden499Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is a crazy good read. Great power trip. Love the details and experience I get from reading this story. I wish the author all the best wishes and encourage something to support themselves like a Patreon. If they aren’t independently wealthy already ig lol
side note I really enjoy Percy Jackson and the olympions by Rick Riordian. I think you could pull off a great crossover here and would love it if you did. The fandom doesn’t get enough love so I appreciate you big dawg.
“I’d fall for you” Percy Jackson fanfiction was a great read psa.
Peace - Zwt1995Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I am approaching a decade of reading fanfiction, and most of that time spent here on this website.
Very rarely do I find myself driven to write a review or rate a book as I go through them so quickly they started to blend together. Same tropes repeated across dozens of novels. Most of those novels (and while not published, novels is what I call them) clearly written with hours of effort and research. Some of them spreading years of the authors life. This book so far has been a true treat amongst an extremely saturated field.
The unique view and insistence on going through a "young harry" ark but doing it so darn well is amazing. The adjustment to power creep due to using a "celestial forge" sort of mechanic is amazingly done.
10/10 to the author, truly a pleasure to partake in your written words. Almost funny to be rating a FF about art focused Harry Potter when the book itself is such a magnificent piece of art!

Any assumption I had was wrong. Normally fanfiction is not my cup of tea and I find most poorly written. Slap on powers from other media, we’re in full blown slop trash level. But somehow nope. Not even close to a lazy power fantasy. In fact the powers are mostly a backdrop and there’s no overly referential winking.
The story has a “power system” (very loose) that is tangled with a lot of philosophical musing. Basically the scene of some immortal cultivator pondering the Dao but for many chapters. The rumination as well as the general story is very high quality from what you’d expect.
I honestly don’t know how to feel. 5 stars for the uniqueness. 4 realistically. But trending towards 3.5. I’m putting the story on hold since the story falls under its own weight of deep navel gazing. There’s little plot and the direction is to my dislike. I liked the combination of slice of life and action early on. Now we’re just deep into heady monologues about nothingness. Felt like it jumped too quickly from ie a foundation establishment cultivator mediating on the idea of fire to some immortal who’s just abstractly about the nature of everything and nothing. - orenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Completely new spin on the Harry Potter world! I’d almost call this a spin-off to be completely honest, with how much it differs from the original story. Great work with reinventing the setting and adding character depth to the narrative as well as what I assume to be original characters that mesh perfectly with the setting.
- Luke Montier (New)Royal Road★★★★ 4.0Hello, I am writing this from where chapter 96 updated. So if anything I write contradicts what future chapters say, I apologise.
I want to start this off by saying I will not be filtering anything I say, if you haven’t read the story yet, there will be major spoilers.
I think, in my opinion, the biggest problem I’ve had with this fic so far is the unnecessary age up. From where I’m up to, Harry’s still a 8 year old boy, and yet, physically and mentally, he’s stated multiple times to be a 13 year old. I’ve loved this story, the writing is amazing and the concept is just as great. But I feel like your dragging prehogwarts out unnecessarily. I understand wanting Harry to be OP, and I love how much detail your going into so that we can’t just say “he got stronger to quickly” but to be honest, he did. No matter how much detail you put into it, it’s still been only, what, a year since the Ice Vault? And yet he’s doing things adult wizards with mastery’s in there fields can’t dream of doing.
there’s just to much coming to fast. Writing, pacing and character development is all easily 5 stars, except it’s all worked because of your seeming refusal to allow Harry to physically age. I don’t really know what else to say, I’m seriously considering dropping the fic simply because of thsi fact. I admit, part of my problem is because of how excited I’ve been for cannon yo start, but it’s mostly because of how you’ve aged Harry up. As I stated in the paragraph, Harry’s a 8 year old with the body and mind of a 13 year old. At the rate this is going, he’ll likely be an adult by the time 1st year actually starts. It just puts a bad taste in my mouth, I’d likely be able to power through if he was still, at least, with the body of a 8 year old, but he’s not.
im sorry to say that it’s likely I won’t be reading your story anymore. When I was bingeing it, I didn’t have as much a problem because of how fast I can go through each arc, but now that I’ve caught up and am forced to wait for eac - KoraanRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5This story, sadly, had hit the bane of all xianxia stories, and many action-focused stories in general. "I forgot the MC had that power that could've solved all that mess". Namely, chapter 99 simply doesn't work at all, because one of the powers Harry have would've warned him about the incoming problems well in advance.
There's another problem common to action-focused stories: the power creep. To overcome a challenge, hero becomes stronger, but to keep tension next challenge have to be stronger yet. And this repeats again and again. This one isn't as bad (yet at least), as a lot of emphasis is put on philosophical, societal and moral aspects, so even when Harry can roflstomp anyone around, it wouldn't solve certain problems anyway, and may in fact only create more. But as he'll keep gaining powers, it will be a problem sooner rather than later.
That said, writing is pretty good, and characters feels alive enough, even if I have some reservations about actions of some of them.
For example, I think Fire Lord Ozai would've tried to assassinate Harry, because everything pointing on him being the Avatar, even if he doesn't bend more than one element publicly (he can't, but Ozai doesn't know that, and he's a paranoid bastard). - DizzymashRoyal Road★★★ 3.0I genuinely think it had great potential, but I think that you overshot things by a surprisingly large margin. Some of the upgrades later on are... excessive to say the least. I understand that it's a fanfiction but the very essence of the character has been stripped away to be a tool for philosophical thought. The early chapters are good, but I have to implore you to consider a rewrite on some of the high concept decisions. It's too much change too fast, and as a reader it feels like extremely forced growth.
It's a great idea, but it's too ambitious and the pace of growth is way too fast. I do like the concept and the early chapters. - Ilive2readbullcrapRoyal Road★ 0.5At some point, the power scaling is really annoying.
You can t have your Mc have everything
You can t resolve issues before they happen just like that.
Was a good premise, but the constant passif power ups with no struggle or challenge made it shitty, I am sorry.
Best of luck
