Unless you like envisioning yourself in a decrepit aching body, riddled with arthritis, cancer, diabetes, and dementia.  Add in living in an abandoned neighborhood in a rundown old house, alone.
Our protagonist is all of those things, and then Earth gets a magical (?) System Apocalypse, except the chosen Hero/Dungeon Hunters are all the OLD PEOPLE. No one under 75 gets a class assignment or is able to enter the dungeons that have appeared everywhere and started disgorging violent monsters.
It's up to the ancient ones to hobble over into the face of bloodthirsty death to save the world.  Pretty cool inversion of the typical "ONLY THE TEENS CAN SAVE US, ESPECIALLY THE PREVIOUSLY UNPOPULAR UNATHLETIC LONER NERDS!"
The characters are believable, if not always likeable, and the story is well written and engaging.  A top quality work.

Love the story, the evolving main character as the grumpy loaner, to a little less grumpy, not wanting change to actually great change except for his house.
The ailments needing to get fixed rather than the instant gratification of increased stat's, unique look at the genre.
Even his class reflects his personality.. with his eventual ability to start caring,  and there seems to now no tropes with a loving reconciliation with son or ex wife.

Pacing is slow but the story is immersive. You get all the realistic details with the hardships of old age. It is a good read that has a lot of potential. Some parts feel repetitive because the growth is slow but the story is still very good. It is very introspective and the character's personality and changes make it interesting to read.

I love this novel. Perhaps because I'm in my senior age or perhaps because the MC is hilarious. He is a grumpy enough to be a Grinch. I love how he tried to be anti social yet truly a softie at heart. His disappointment with people and the society made him distrustful and trying to justify his heroic deeds with cold reasonings makes him a more adorable grampa.

Very enjoyable read, I read this on a different account awhile ago right when it finished and never left a review. It's one of those stories that keeps popping back up in my head even after I put it down. I really enjoyed my time with the mc and his stubbornness.

This is a funny series that was enjoyable and all too relatable when you get old. Several typos of one word mispelled into another so spellcheck won't catch it, but overall understandable.  I wish it hadn't ended so suddenly but the author did well to end it where it was instead of pulling a several year jump forward to start a new storyline under the guise of the old one, which I've seen too often. I also enjoyed the explanation of why dungeons were forming as it was one I had never encountered .

Easily my favorite story of yours. I will admit to some potential bias on being able to binge through it all in one go rather than waiting for the chapters to be doled out.
if I had one knock to give, it would be the disappointment of the epilogue. Don’t get me wrong, I greatly appreciate not being left hanging. I just thought there was a lot of story left to be told for our MC.
Either way, I’ve marked your current works to read later and I’m looking forward to ‘rediscovering’ how much I enjoy your writing in a year or so.
Please and Thank you in advance :)

    Great idea, very good writing.
The descriptions of the problems of old people are spot on and somehow funny.
How the old man works through the whole monster and dungeon logic by combining his current experiences with stuff from the Internet just makes sense.
He is grumpy and impolite to most humans, but seems to like animals, but would probably never admit it.
This is one of the few novels where everything seems to make sense.
Only problem, he seems very stupid.
Ignoring 5he existence of monsters to go shopping unprepared is stupid.
Going alone - when not necessary - against multiple monsters is super stupid.
I did not read very far yet but I think just the beginning chapters are worth it for some, because it is good and different than other books.

I love this story. It was a fun read and the characters and magic were an interesting mix. This is not the standard magic system and it was a bit more believable on how folks in the real world would have handled the situation. (At least I hope that regular folks would try to help each other, but...)
Thank you for sharing your work.
