I think in regards to the style, its more reminiscent of a western novel than what I'm more familiar with (Light/web novels). In a way, this isn't really a flaw, it's just not something I'm used to. This doesn't make it 'difficult' to read per-say, but I definitely do feel an oddity in reading it compared to its counterparts. Other than that, there are a few points where I feel like the narration/descriptions feel 'unnatural' and my instinct tells me that it's due to the author really disliking the use of contractions in narration. Though I'm too lazy to confirm that 100% other novels aren't also like that.
In the end, you're likely not to worry about something like this anyways, so this is really more of a personal nit pick than anything.
Story:
The story itself is pretty reminiscent of what you would find in a Japanese battle-action light novel with hints of western comic-book story influences. It's quite generic and so, it's wide-appealing in having themes that one would typically like. I don't want to go too much into detail about what the story specifically entails, but in general, it is pretty engaging. I do feel like the author uses fights as a vehicle to tell the story a lot, so that's the single reason why this section isn't rated a full 5 stars.
Grammar:
I couldn't find a single flaw in this section. And I feel like unless you are specifically trying hard to find such, you won't either.
Character Score:
This is definitely the reason why I kept reading. I like the characters featured in this story a lot, and the relationships between them. There's ample back-story that hasn't been shown yet but it really feels like the author put a lot of thought into making these characters actual people with histories behind them. So far, there hasn't been a character that has just existed in order to fulfill a trope or action, and I hope that will remain to be the case. Specifically, interactions between the main character (Edmond) and another character, Hilda, ar
