Description

A village in shambles? A mysterious newcomer from another world? A school of orphans? What do all of these have in common? The answer is obvious: a waterslide… and smashburgers… and a carousel or two. After dying on Earth, Luka is reincarnated by a desperate goddess into a stagnating world of magic, strange races, and everlasting peace. With a background in engineering and a dark spot in his memories, Luka quickly falls in love with the people of his new world and sets off to solve their problems. The only issue is that Luka has problems of his own—problems that span two worlds, two lives, and encompass too many deaths to count. And yet, the solution to fixing everything is obvious: an amusement park. Join Luka and the residents of Emberwood Village as they create, maintain, and market attractions and rides the world has never seen before. Welcome to World Walker Park.

I’ve really enjoyed the story so far. The main character  is transported to a magical world where he gains the ability to transform materials into items or fun rides. The MC is also quite interesting—not your typical bland protagonist—as he carries emotional burdens from his past life.
The story stands out from classic fantasy tales by focusing on the MC’s efforts to build an amusement park from scratch. Starting small, he helps revitalize a struggling village that has been in decline due to a past accident. Despite being a “building” story, the character interactions are very well done and feel genuine. The pacing is excellent; it doesn’t feel too slow or too fast.
The world is rich with a variety of races, and the magic system shows great potential for the future of the world-building.
Overall, I’ve really enjoyed it so far. I especially like that the MC isn’t a bland character. I do hope the story doesn’t become overly dramatic due to the MC’s emotional baggage, as I’m mainly reading it for its joyful aspects. Looking forward to seeing more in the future!

The storyline starts off on a strong note; I don't see it often enough where a god wants somebody they summon to create or bring happiness. They provide exposition on what this world looks like now and foreshadow problems to come.
In terms of the character score, only 4.5 stars because I believe it is too early to make a decision, but I do like what I see.
I have yet to see the entirety of who Luka is. However, I am already intrigued, both through what I have read in these first chapters as well as the preview. Luka seems like an interesting character, he certainly seems to fit the down-on-his-luck archetype, but I can definitely see more for his future.
What happens when his past inevitably comes back to haunt him? What happens when the future problems are no longer so far away? And how is he supposed to handle these issues while bringing joy? I can't wait to find out as I continue to read.
It is very different from Curselock, but keep up the good work, Mr. McCoy! This opening has me anticipating a wonderful story.

I've been reading for a long time on royal road but I never made an account. I've stuck to the more popular stories so I've always felt the reviews people were giving more than enough for authors to gain readers and popularity but I thought I'd try a story that's low on the review count for once and I am BEYOND impressed.
I've been a slice of life addict for the past few months and after consuming everything I could get my hands on I can confidently say this is a top 5 story in the genre. From a unique premise and world, to characters which are genuinely loveable this story has impressed me in every way. I'm just over halfway in the story in terms of available chapters and I consumed them in the matter of a few hours. Just havent been able to put the damn book down! If you're a lover of Beware of chicken, Demon world boba shop, or the few other GOAT slice of life titles than this is EXACTLY what you are looking for. I just wish there was more to consume. I'm being forced to slow myself down just so I dont run out of chapters!
I dont have any general criticisms for the writer as truthfully it feels they're doing everything right. I do have some personal caveats though - I wish there was a little more romance or a subplot in that general area that seems like a bit of a missed opportunity. Obviously I'm early so its possible its implemented later. I also wish we could see a little more of this amazing world that has been built but I fear the genre of the story might prevent that from happening.
Outside of my personal silly caveats I think this story is borderline perfect and would heavily reccomend anyone who's looking for something cozy to give it a shot! It's my first story from Joseph Mccoy but I can guarantee it wont be my last. (Apologies for the lackluster english)

Well written. No complaints about the grammar or structure of this story, although the prologue is maybe unecessary. The characters also seem well defined and voiced and while I'm not a big fan of the locked memories trope, the repressed trauma angle seems like a good counterpart to an otherwise cute story.
That said, it is too cute for me. Not sure what I expected in a story about building a theme park, but I don't really enjoy the children, animal companions, and somewhat saccharine interactions. I know plenty of people enjoy that kind of thing more than I do and they'll hopefully dig this story.
