A goddess long forgotten stirs from the cries of her people, begging her to return. The decayed heart of an empire, beats once more as bells tolled across the land heralding the return of a leader long thought lost.

This is the story of Calixa Asteria, the Empress of a long lost empire. Though, not all is as it seems. Her memories, remain just out of reach locked away by her past self. Deep down, she knows she is not of this world, yet, with out a doubt belongs there. Her future is uncertain, as she grapples with a world that has forgotten who she was, and a people who wait for her to guide them through their darkest hour once more.

Authors notes: This is the rewrite to The Whispers of a Dead Empire story I originally wrote. This is cleaned up, with a setting change and character face lifts. This is now a true kingdom builder.
