- PikaBZHRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I'd have thought the change of focus from Aeris character I've been so engrossed with in the first two books would make me pause but it didn't happen. The presence of a known character of book 1, and one who already had a good presence at that, certainly helps connecting the book with the previous ones.
With that, the developpement of the lore is very interesting, with that lingering incertainty of what is true and what is fantasy.
I'm really curious about how the whole thing is going to unfold.
The typos, missing words and grammar errors are inconsequential as far as unserstanding is concerned, and they can be easily caught by a review. Though I'm not 100% sure about every single one I spotted, I'm not a native english speaker so some of them could be false positives.
One side thing I'm growing more and more curious about, is the human tech of this world, and if some references imply something about the past. Firearms, plastic (taste of the sandwiches), mention of power outage (electric systems ?) yet horse drawn carriages are in use as vehicles. - grovekeeperRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Premise is good, there is a good plot and the style is great. There are grammatical errors and typos here and there, easily catchable in a revision. The characters can be better, but with the amount of words in the story, they are okay. The differences between the dragon and the MC seems less and less.
For someone who controls a city, the MC sure makes stupid decisions. There is a nice suspense feel to the story which is great, maybe it's due to the promise of conflict in the background. I really want more explanations, especially how an individual would live for centuries without growing in size and the special ability of humans if it exists. The world seems too unbalanced otherwise.
I would like if the font size is normal. - XyrviRoyal Road★★★ 2.5The author manipulates the reader all the time. It is not clear what is true and what is fiction. Just as the main character becomes a kind of madman and does not know what to believe, so does the reader.
I don't quite know how to imagine this world. Especially since there is electricity? Which doesn't really fit in with everything that is presented to me.
I definitely like this book less than Dissent. There isn't really a character to like. The further it goes the more questions and no answers.
