Lone ago somewhere far away from Texas there was a couple living in Pine Ridge South Dakota. They had a child who was going to be in poor condition, they did not want the baby to grow up this way. So, with broken hearts they did the only good thing for their child, they put their child up for adoption. So, the child grew up in the system, moving from foster home to foster home. When he got a little older a family from Texas adopted him and they started a new family of their own.

The grammar was good. The writing style flowed well. The characters were well done and natural. Dialog flowed and didn't come across as forced. It was just a bit fast.
Andrew developed a crush really quickly. Recovery from trauma as a teen was really, really fast. It just came across as too fast passed given the MC's background. It might be misperception but an abused teenage girl normally wouldn't recover and accept a new life and family quite so quickly
If you ever wanted to have a furry family this would be the family for you. Fluffy warm furry family.
