Warrior, Wizard, Demon Queen?

Description
Sometimes death would be the end of it all.
Not for her though. She isn't so lucky.
She gets a second chance at a life of sorts as Keza'zoth.
…
Even if it quite possibly won't be much of a life.
It wont be life as she used to know it either.
Life can be pretty tough for a young demoness after all.
…
Sword and Sorcery? Sure.
Dungeons, Dragons and all that? Probably.
Hardships and Peril? Most certainly.
…
Fame and Riches? Maybe.
If she gets really lucky.
Or if she works really hard.

- RonDuneRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Well this story didn't develop quite how I expected. It isn't a litRPG or a hard-progression fantasy or a typical reincarnation story. Our MC gets brief hints from her past Earth-life and mostly uses them as a knowledge augmenter.
This is a story about a humanoid demon character, rising from humble beginnings to command large, mobile, multi-disciplinary army. Combat is brutal, and many characters die abruptly. She doesn't get any sudden powerups and challenge the gods, rather she works to develop her strength, listens to her capable subordinates and slowly shakes the world at its seams. I honestly really love Keza and her friends, and can't wait to see what earth-shuddering shenanigans they get up to next! - SlothReader2000Royal Road★★★★ 4.0I'll keep this short and simple. I wasn't sure of the story at first but you just have to get past the 10th chapter for it to get really interesting.
Loved the depiction of the characters and how the fighting is written. Their's also no menu system so far in the story which I actually like. The character would have to actually learn, memorize, and cast the spells correctly for them to work. - luda305Royal Road★★★★ 4.0This is a pretty decently written coming of age slice of life. The characters are distinct is a little flat. The grammar and prose are workable with minor flaws. And the worldbuilding is interesting.
That said, it is remarkably slow paced plot.
Through chapter 10, it's mostly been an introductory sparring match, a little aftermath, and then a camping trip. Peeking ahead to 15 and 20 (did not read in between), it looks like at 20, they're still returning from the camping trip, but now dealing with some sort of enemy forces.
That kind of means that through 20, we still haven't crossed the threshold under the hero's journey archetype. And I'm guessing that won't happen until 30 or so. Which means this story is easily going to hit 300 chapters. Now, that kind of slow paced slife of life is fine, but it's not something that's obvious before reading or within the first chapter, so it's a little misleading.
Also, as a point of constructive criticism (not affecting my review), I'm concerned that that tagging and synopsis are misleading as of the date of this review. There's a promise there (and in the first chapter) of memories from another world/second life. But, through chapter 10, there's been almost no reference to that yet again, and it's just a fantasy character doing fantasy things. - rem_brandtRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I like the story. Well, the first arc I guess. And I'm happy that there is way more to read.
The story is focused on combat and character growth (so far).
Keza, the MC, is a young women in line to inherit her mothers fiefdom. She and her three friends want more than just stay at home and train, so they leave on a trip to the wilderness. And so the story begins. - IndigetesRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5A short story that let you wanting for a bit more, the ending being a bit too abrupt and rushed.
Aside from that the progression of the story is overall fine, a series of combat situations from which the MC usually come out victorious, even if not by much, and a tad more powerful than before.
There are a few references to popular media, mostly LODR, but they are not intrusive and you can miss them completely is you somehow aren't familiar with the source.
On the bad side, both the sex scenes and the isekai part feel unnecessary, barely affecting the story at all. The repercussions from both things could (and should) have affected the story more heavily, but that would probably required it to be longer, which would not have being a bad thing.
At times you could forget it's supposed to be an isekai if not for the couple of short flashback scenes sprinkled here and there, but even those do no contribute anything that could not be explained with a bit of ingenuity. Everyone else get the idea with minimal input from MC after all.
Specially the vampire, who she was in her past life brings absolutely nothing to the table, nor does it change the meaning behind her actions. - UrchanieRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5I thinks this is the first time I'm dropping a story after reading three quarters of it. And the worst part about it is that I'm unable to pinpoint the exact reason.
The plot itself is good enough, and so are the characters. And yet, I can't get myself to continue reading it.
Perhaps it is the writing style? I have no idea.
Also, a few notes, unrelated to mentioned above:
Isekai part of the story is almost non-existent, it doesn't really seem to affect story in any meaningful way.
I guess "Anti-Hero Lead" tag can be interpeted in many different ways, but in my personal opinion, I don't feel like this story should have it (unless there's some serious Anti-Hero stuff after chapter 145+).
"Sexual Content" in this story is kinda meeeh.
