However, as he grows stronger, so too do the monsters, forcing Jax to learn the true extent of what it means to bear the weight of the Titan's legacy. What to expect:- Slightly unhinged, thrill seeking MC.- Summoner archetype with a twist.- Comedy grounded in reality.- A fun read.Release schedule. 1CH/DAY M – F

- UnkindledAsh25Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5Take all of this with a grain of salt as it is 3am, after binging all the chapters and I'm probably wording some things badly and could be flat out wrong about others. Not your average litrpg:I really like what I've read so far. This book does have a slightly cliche start and hasn't separated very far from other books in the genre however the changes they did make were quite good. The mc doesn't seem to be developing into any of the archetypes I tend to dislike of litrpgs, namely a love of fighting but bad socially or dumb (doesn't have to go with love of fighting but it usually is accompanied by it), way too trusting or way to suspicious (was a bit to suspicious but rightfully so), puts all of his stats into damage/strength, usually accompanied by a personality that simplifies everything (can be good but I prefer thinking/scheming mc's way more and haven't had much stories in the genre about them), overwhelmingly op (yes he is a bit op against level 3's but they are a 3rd of his level, I just hope the levels balance out somewhat later) and having a set of friends in a settlement forcing him to always be involved in fixing their problems (it limits options and makes the story less interesting, this can be done well but it would be cool if everything he does isn't backed by trying to save/improve a village and instead there is some variety).Stats:So far, he has put a majority of his points into agility, which is reaction speed and control over muscles, this gives him dodging ability, but he still invests in strength for killing power and speed. This is really nice because he needs to invest in multiple stats for one role (melee combat) and more thought has to be put in to decide how to best use your stats this isn't even factoring in the summoner abilities which relies on different stats. Because of this he will probably only invest small amounts into his summoner abilities to get some utility/scouting to add to his kit.Future thoughts:I would really like to see him
- Prophet99Royal Road★★★★ 4.0I really like the novel so far, its well written without many Errors or grammar mistakes. The System so far makes sense and sure there is some Plot Armor but every Novel has it.I really like that its a different Kind of Summoner and i hope that he stays as an Frontline fighter who uses his Summoner spells to support him.And i always like the egoistical Hermit antihero characters. Will be interested in reading it further and hope it keeps his quality.
- Reaper of GamesRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0spoiler warningoverall story:so far I see the start of the usual apocalypse/ isekai.the difference being mc has a good almost great starting point, being physically fit and trained in fighting styles helps him get thru the first day where others definitely would have died.this means it's at least believable that he can win and does so without having to pull plot armor out.don't get me wrong he still has a moment where he definitely falls vicrom of a convenient plot dungeon that he "accidently enters" rather then wanting to enter to power himself up like any other games would.still he comes out with the cheat skills that will get him thru the rest with a bit of effort......side characters:straight up, this is an awesome positive, both groups of side characters at least so far come off as humans, and not one note NPC's. of course most are not yet fleshed out and I'm hoping we get a home town later to really see how different people interact with the mc and how they help build the new world.second, I'm happy we don't have fan service or haram characters. (yet?)third, the bird is the word, and it's great to see a smart decision to get a bird and not just give the mc a fenrir or some kind of level 10,000 mega beast.i'm looking forward to how that skill / companion grows with the mc.final review:lots of tropes here but also a fresh new world with new possibilities.looking forward to reading more.
- undercover rRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This story hooked me quickly with its strong premise and smooth writing style. The main character’s physical fitness and combat training make his early survival feel believable, which helps avoid excessive plot armor. The action scenes, especially the fight with Aerendyl, were fun and well paced, and while the apocalypse/isekai setup is familiar, the execution keeps it fresh and engaging.I also like the unique take on the summoner role and the protagonist’s antihero personality. The system makes sense overall, and although there are a few convenient moments, they don’t hurt the story much. The writing is clean and easy to read, making this a solid start that I’m excited to continue.
- rel7891Royal Road★★★ 2.5This book has been fun so far. It's a system apoc story, without a major gimmick. Jax is just a mildly antisocial, high risk tolerant individual, who hits the ground running when the blue screens hit. He gets lucky, yet he does bleed for his ability to snowball his early lead.Obviously this book isn't doing anything extremely different from the norm but that's ok.A book that knows what it is, and doesn't try to fill too many cups can be a really enjoyable read.Things I think elevate this books quality:1: girls arent inexplicably fawning over him. This is often a hard stop for me.2: Jax is aware of his flaws in the social domain as well as his lack of team player instincts.3: Jax isn't trying to be a paragon of virtue. He's not edgy antihero, just an ambitious self focused dude trying to see how high he can climb with society being reset ala system.4: diversification: the build is really interesting because it doesn't encourage mastering just one gimmick and doesn't stick to just one theme. He summons, he fights with an array of weapons. Again somewhat less flashy then some shadow dart thrower but more realistic.5: levels aren't everything. Levels matter alot. But if enemies of much higher level can be outplayed, so can he.6: this one is very big for me. The summoned animal isn't anthropomorphized in a major way. It's a clever bird that he can interact with. It's still an animal. I really appreciate that. Personally I like it when we allow animals to operate on a different plane than human personality structures. When the animal always has some quip handy, it tends to make stories very banter forward, which I don't enjoy.Edit: this is a dnf for me. Deducting points for the way the social dynamics are being written. Not to my taste, feels very high-school. Also feeling let down about the way latest combat stuff has gone. Victories have begun to feel unearned. It'd really a delicate balance for me. Too much shounen and I'm out and this walked over that line for me.
