Wanderlust: The Death of Harmony

Description
Dragons fell from the heavens.
The sky turned red and the white floating clouds turned to rolling waves of black. An arcane apocalypse fell upon the world that gifted magical abilities to the common people. Creation and destruction ruled the lands from mages who knew not the limits of their power.
After decades of persecution and death, the arcane calamity ceased, the skies turned to normal, and the people began to heal.
But after the mysterious and coordinated murders of the world leaders who brought such peace and prosperity, the Era of Panic is seeking to devastate the realm once more.
Their home turned to ash, their family and friends slaughtered. Ryder and Durge are now left to survive these lands alone. In desperation, they resort to the deadly but prosperous career of Questing to seek answers from this perilous world (and survive the looming wars that plague the land)— all the while traversing dungeons, slaying dragons, bandits, and backstabbers.

- TenioRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The greatest strength of Wanderlust (great word, by the way) is the world. The world of Trientalis is well thought and you can feel the nuances within it (it helps to have the guide to walk you through).
Style: Style is good, although it does seem to be dialogue heavy at times. Personally, I would like more description of the characters and the events around them, but I'm sure a lot of those details will come through in later chapters. It definitely feels like a Dungeons and Dragons game in the best way!
Story: A blend between traditional fantasy and post-apocalyptic fiction. It has all the strengths of both- complete with scavengers that pick apart the magic-ravaged landscape. Very interesting stuff!
Grammar: Grammar is excellent; nothing pulled me out of the story. Really no blatant revisions to be made here! One thing- it may or may not be a grammatical issue- there are some sections of dialogue that sound unnatural, but they are few and far between.
Characters: Primarily, the focus is on Ryder and Durge. Their personalities shine through clearly- with Durge being more of a no-nonsense aggressor and Ryder maintaining a sort of measured naivety. They're written well, and with more time to develop they could become very strong characters.
All in all, I had a great time reading Wanderlust and if you're still on the fence about reading it- check it out! Like, now!
