- Asa ArtairRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Based on the chapters that have been released so far, the story is turning up pretty good. It portrays a conflict that engulfs a city after a rebellion breaks out in its center, and sends the characters into a whirlwind of blood and violence.
The action scenes are very well written. Actually, they are my favorite part of the book— the fights are well-described and exciting. The whole thing, so far, is incredibly intense and fast-paced, and it’s torture to wait for the next chapter to be released since they are fairly short and I’m in too much of a hurry to know what’s gonna happen next.
The setting—a fantasy version of medieval Japan—is another thing that I enjoy a lot. The story itself is fairly complex, with a lot of layers and all the characters pursuing their own agendas, so you have to pay attention. The main character, Lawrence, is likable, however, it’s the secondary characters who stand out for me in this story.
So far I’m enjoying Wakiagaru, and I hope it's going to end in a satisfying conclusion. - QilinRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I'm currently three chapters in, it's not too far in but enough to upload a review about it. This might just be me but I tend to imagine how a character will look and a lot of fictional stories I read lack description, so it makes it quite hard but the writer has very vivid descriptions, which makes the imagining of a character a hell of a lot easier compared to other novels I have read thus far.
The characters are also quite realistic in terms of strength, and there is no bs defying all logic plot armour as far as I'm aware.
All in all, it's 100% worth the read - I'll be reading on! - moredrowsyRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I've read enough chapters so far to give an informed review.
This is an amazing story and the characters are quite believable. The strongest point of this story, however, is the writing. The writing is on par with professionally published novels and quite frankly, I'm surprised this story isn't in the top ten. The format of the writing lends itself very well to its fast paced story progression and the descriptions of essential action scenes are vivid and engaging.
There is one complaint I have, which I think would not apply for those who waits until the story is completely done, is the release format. I understand the author wants to keep the "suspense" going but at the same time when some chapters are a few thousand words long while other chapters are only a few handful sentences is quite nonsensical. Hence, I docked 2 stars from the style score because of this, for now at least.
It's a fabulously written work which I'll continuously check for progress.
A solid 4.5! - JobberRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Pity the chapers were so dam short it's quite easy to just want to quit reading, but I started it and i did want to know how it end's. Don't get me wrong it is a good story but a few paragraph's is not a chapter. It's a pity but i am going to pass on the writers other stories since it appears short chapter is how he plot's out the story pity!!!
