Void Verse Christmas Storyis now up to read free on Kindle Unlimited https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B0DPG7YQ6J

Main Story is Stubbed and Book 2 will begin posting after I get a few chapter ahead.

(Inspired by Warframe, Naruto, Helldivers, and Warhammer AOS)(Slow Burn, Slice of Life Adventure, Unique Power Sets)

After the great breaking, the world had fallen out of favor with the gods. The people of Earth U1P2B1  were isolated from the rest of the universe, the System blocking their inter-dimensional travel. As time went on, this lack of favor trickled down and more scamps were born into the world. The scamps were ordinary humans that had never awakened, they were rejected by the System and its power. Defenseless, these humans try to survive in a world of powerful awakened, twisted gods, and insanity. Gideon is one such human, this is his story.

Void Verse is a world of Sword and Sorcery backdropped by the Cthulhu Mythos of H.P. Lovecraft. It is world Of Space Knights and their never ending cobflict with the Old Ones. These Old Ones so terrifying they should only be viewed in your nightmares, to do otherwise is a sure road to madness, insanity, and death.

Power System features a three ability system(Tiers E,F,D,C,B,A,S). Alpha, Beta, and Gamma. These 3 abilities form a convergence for a Delta ability(Class).

Each ability then has 3 related skills that will level. (Additional skills are available. These additional skills don't scale up in power because the level serves as a multiplier).

The story so far follows a young Gideon, trying to make his way and with dreams of becoming more than just a scamp.
I'm a huge fan of the Cthulhu mythos and so the blend of that and fantasy is awesome. I am really enjoying the main character and the writing is top notch. I'm looking forward to more!

I'm enjoying your story so far, and will include general notes below, both things I enjoyed, and things I believe could be tweak or strengthened. I'm a huge fan of HP LoveCraft and would definitely like to read the entire story once it's finished.
I really like the title, Void Verse just sounds cool.
Interesting how the prologue seems to start with the system talking directly to the audience.
I wish there was a way to more organically introduce your proper nouns and what they mean, besides just placing all the terminology in your prologue. It sort of feels like when a video game tutorial tells you all of the rules at once instead of when they're relevant. We're unfortunately not going to remember all of that information up front.
I like Gideon and his plight, but I'd suggest finding a more natural way to introduce his goals and desires. He just thinks to himself, "I'll get my access license, I'll make it up there someday, escape this place and become an adventurer." Perhaps he can be having a conversation with another person, or he has drawings or notes in his rooftop abode detailing his dream. Master Brom may be a person he could have this organic conversation with.
I like the detail you've given to the city of Rime. You've clearly put a lot of thought into it's design.
You mention how Master Gideon unlocked his alpha and beta abilities. It would be more interesting to show us how he uses this power first, and then Gideon can comment on what he's unlocked and mastered, after the reader has context for what this even is.
I like how even though Gideon is in a difficult situation, people have been charitable and helped him, like Master Brom and Captain Daniels.
I like how even though Gideon has had what I can charitably call a rough childhood, he's still kind to those around him. Like how he offered food to Old Man Hizel even though he was hungry himself. He's definitely a main character that I'll be rooting for!
I feel like a few of your lines of dialogue go on a bit
