Void Reaper

Description
Cassius Heart was not supposed to be conscious as the system pulled his universe into the Prime Material. He also shouldn't have seen the Void for the Void isn't something that can be seen. Cass saw it though, he saw the Void and what it is, and worst of all ... the Void saw him too.
Cass always wanted to be a part of the stories he read and the games he played, now is his chance and he will do whatever it takes to make the most of this opportunity.
He's not a hero, he's not a villain, he's just a man that is willing to do what others are not, but he has lines he won't cross and acts he abhors.
Explore this world with Cass and find his limits while he finds the limits of this new reality he has been thrust into.
All content warnings are added however sexual content has not been added into the story yet it's mostly there so that I have the freedom to do whatever I want. There's also not a crazy amount of profanity or anything really bad either.
You could potentially add the "Urban Fantasy", "Slice of Life", "Dystopia", And "Low Sci-Fi" or "Low Fantasy" Tags aswell.
Went on hiatus for a bit but I'm back, and after getting a few chapters as a backlog I will be trying to post on a Monday/Wednesday/Friday Schedule.
Hey so first time writing literally anything that wasn't for school lol. I don't mind criticism and suggestions; in fact, they are extremely welcome.
Please bear with me through the first few chapters I personally think it gets much better the further in you go and I'm trying to improve with every chapter.
Thanks for reading and please enjoy!

- Seeking PolarisRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0the character has one singular bout of insane luck, and that's what makes him the main character, with any unfair advantages stemming from that one fact and pretty clearly stated early on, from there on it just unfolds into giving him a good leg up on everyone else who doesn't understand anything about how the system works, followed by solid believable specialization for the main character giving him another step above the others.
so far there's no unbelievable plot luck or unfair advantages given to the main character, with any insane advantage coming at a reasonable price, but still well worth it when taking specialization into account, there's are relatively few close calls for both him and other characters making it far more believable than most stories, and the characters properly learn from those close calls and don't make the same mistakes if they can help it.
nobody is just black and white bad evil people or saintly kind people, they're just all shades of grey with none of them targeting the main character specifically just for being the mc with the justification of a random mood swing. the characters all seem like real people to me, at least from how it feels reading the text.
the grammar is top of the line from what I've seen on royal road, it might not be perfect but it doesn't detract from the story at all if you ever even notice a mistake, which is kind of tied into the style, which is just comfortable and fun to read, not too many stats and little to no number crunching with minimal system stuff.
honestly, if someone other than the author told me this was the authors first time writing someting that wasn't for school, I'd smack em in the back of the head and tell em to go take a look at all the other best authors first attempts at writing and ask them what kinda substances they could've taken that made them somehow believe this could've been written by someone new to writing. in fact you probably won't even be able to find most of those first attempts - Zero-DestructorRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0No need for long eloquent words, I just really like LitRPG. So I'm just gonna give this promising novel a 5 out of 5 and I hope this doesn't get dropped. Ps. For 50 words I hope you don't get a writer's block 🙏, apparently this isn't enough so blah blah blah blah.
- KieflerRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Update to correct a mistake I made. Original review left for posterity.
I started two stories at the same time and misremembered. It was a different author who was writing as an homage to HWFWM. And I certainly didn't mean to imply actual copying.
Via the title, the MC has Void powers, which creates an automatic overlap with Asano. I feel like there's a lot of similarities because of this. As I said in the review below, I will say with certainty that the author is not copying this or DCC. Rather, I feel that there's a lot of similarities between the books.
So as you read my original review, please take it in the context intended. I do feel like there are some vague similarities between the characters, especially that they have hardships that force them to grow in exceptional ways. But as I also said below, there is plenty of unique development for the character as well.

Style: the author said it was in part an homage to Dungeon Crawler Carl and He Who Fights With Monsters, and I definitely see those touches. I certainly believe that is the intent, and he has obviously read them, every once in a while it encroaches on the edge of copying, but I think it's unintentional due to the authors' immersion in the other stories. There are a few "that's kinda my thing" comments that bumped me, but again, I think it's more of a love of the character and not an attempt to truly copy the character. There's plenty about the MC that's unique.
Story: the story itself is quite engaging, and has a very unique setting, while still being recognizable as System Takeover
Grammar: there's quite a bit of "correctly spelled wrong words" like 'bear' instead of 'bare'. The author did seem to go on a bulk chapter spree for a bit, so I'm hoping a lot of that will be cleaned up, especially as his earlier chapters show edit time stamps.
Character: as mentioned briefly in Style, the character is unique, if definitely an OP setup. But that's why he's worth following. Looking - DynalonRoyal Road★★★ 3.0This is YA story with generic settings. That would be fine but story is full of holes and character behavior does not make much sense.
Let's take a look at first two chapters:
MC character wakes up after apocalypse and without any kind of information about what is going on in the world the first thing he does is immediately going out with intention of getting supplies. Seriously first thing reasonable person does after waking up in that kind of situation is getting more information so he can make any kind of decision going forward.
Anyway moving on, our MC immediately runs into rape scene. And the first thing he decides to do to is attacking with lethal force. He does not try threatening them, he immediately jumps to killing like he is going to pick up milk.
Moving on to the fight itself he decides to use his post apocalypse ability he never used or tested before in a fight and he does not even hesitate. Is he even human or a robot with plot armor? He makes hole in the heart of one thugs and the thug starts swearing and screaming - because that is obviously possible and logical reaction when you have hole in your heart.
In the next scene damsel is rescued and she is led back with MC and his friend to their house, because obviously she had fallen there from the sky, does not have family, friends or anyone she cares or is worried about and was probably living under bridge so she has no home to go back to.
I stopped reading there, it was too much.
