Description
Rosalie Edgeworth: the queen bee of Lassen Academy and Janet Fleming’s two-faced nemesis. Why does the school seem to revolve around Rosalie? How can Prince Blaise not see her for the bitch she really is? And why won’t the Prince even listen to Janet’s side of it? In the aftermath of Rosalie’s latest schemes, Janet finds the answer in unexpected allies: ghost-clones of herself, a weird little-sister shop owner, a bespectacled folklore otaku, a sluggard knight, three ghost-obsessed girls, and two former saintess candidates, among others. Meeting these people leads Janet to the truth about Rosalie’s identity and a dangerous conspiracy surrounding her.

- James BailyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I recommend this one. It's quite compelling with how everything is. The story starts with the main character in an awful situation... Yes.... But that's completely natural. It takes time for situations to turn around. There are many reasons as to why her situation is so horrible. The mystery fleshes this out over the reading of the novel. The main character uses her agency to overcome these bad situations. The situations aren't just teleported in out of nowhere. There are secrets that are revealed over time that show that the main character's situation was fabricated by the antagonist with
slavery magic and mind control.
9.999.../10 because I still have a book I like more than this one. I read ahead on scribblehub. It's worth it. - TsaimathRoyal Road★★★ 3.0So far, the story is well written but sadly not for me.
The premise is an interesting one, ghosts of future's past coming to guide the present protagonist but what kills it for me is what feels like a complete lack of agency for the protagonist. Her actions and decisions seem to have no influence on the outcome, which is something I hate in stories.
So, if you are looking vor a well-written mystery contained in a variation of the otome-villain genre, look no further, if you despise stories that feel like the protagonist is on rails, maybe give it a pass. - tikiiriaRoyal Road★★★ 3.0The grammar is fine. The style is fine.
The world building is lacking details. It's still confusing even at the end. The time loops without nore world and magic background do not help clear the confusion.
The clones are a mess and for clones they seem to have to much differences in personality.
Interesting concept that could use some work. - Neko SaigaiRoyal Road★★ 2.0The story starts out as stacked against the MC, but we quickly find out that not only is she being targeted and harassed by the manipulative antagonist, but everyone around her seems to side with the antagonist for no clear reason. Even worse, the antagonist's actions never raise any questions, and when overt actions are taken by her against other people, no one says anything. The adults have 0 personality and 0 agency, so it comes off as either the antagonist is just an all powerful malicious thing that can control everyone around her like puppets, or more realistically... the writer is trying to write a traumacore version of another fic I've seen on RR and the execution is lacking.
I was interested in the premise and hoped I'd see improvements, but it's telling that I haven't seen a single comment on chapters in the last 5 or 6 that I read, and those were posted a year and a half ago.
To the author, keep writing, but I apologize that I don't think I can finish reading this work.
